Tour privato della città a Frida Kahlo, Coyoacan e Xochimilco

Descrizione

Besides the fact that the place is very beautiful, our guide explained everything very well and with great dedication. The entire Stepping Mexico team made us feel at home, highly recommended 100%.
We met Stepping through foreign friends, and thus we decided to take this tour that fascinated both my girlfriend and me. It is an excellent itinerary to get to know a part of Mexico City with deep roots, pride, and authenticity. In addition to the way we were attended to from the reservation to the end of the tour... we definitely must indulge in the pleasure of being tourists in our own country.
Our tour guide, Armando, picked us up for a tour to Xochimilco, Coyoacan, and the Frida Kahlo Blue House. It was easy to communicate with him to get details of pick up location and time. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and pleasant! Hands down a wonderful tour! Thank you!
Overall, this was a very enjoyable and informative tour. We really appreciated the opportunity to experience local culture firsthand, visit the markets, and gain a deeper understanding of the area beyond the typical tourist experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided valuable insight into the history, culture, and communities we visited. There were a few areas that could be improved. We paid extra to have our group name displayed on the boat, but unfortunately it was misspelled, which was disappointing. Toward the end of the tour, the guide shared some personal political opinions that were not aligned with everyone in our group and made a few people uncomfortable. While everyone is entitled to their views, it felt a bit out of place during the tour. Communication regarding additional expenses could also be clearer. We were under the impression that the food served on the boat was included, only to learn afterward that it was an additional charge. Setting expectations upfront would help avoid confusion. The itinerary was packed, which allowed us to see a lot in a short amount of time, but it also left very little opportunity to relax, browse, or shop. At times, it felt like we were being rushed from one location to the next. That said, our guide was accommodating and even made time for us to stop for churros from a place we had been hoping to visit, which was a highlight of the day. Despite a few frustrations, we left with a much better appreciation of the local culture and would still recommend the tour to visitors looking for an authentic experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the opportunity to experience the local culture, markets, and neighborhoods, and that you found the tour informative overall. We would like to respectfully clarify a few points mentioned in your review: • Regarding the group name displayed on the boat, we sincerely apologize for the spelling mistake. However, the personalized sign service was never paid for. A payment link was sent prior to the tour, but the payment was not completed. Even so, we arranged for the sign to be prepared, and we regret that the name was not displayed correctly. • Concerning the food and drinks on the boat, the food included in the tour was provided as described. The additional charge was only for alcoholic beverages that were ordered separately during the boat ride, which are not included in the tour price. • Regarding the comment about political discussions, we take this feedback seriously. Our guides are instructed to focus on culture, history, and local experiences while respecting the diverse backgrounds and viewpoints of our guests. While we have not received similar feedback regarding this guide before, we will review the matter internally to ensure our standards of professionalism are consistently maintained. • As for the pace of the itinerary, our guide did their best to accommodate the group’s requests throughout the day, including the additional stop for churros that you mentioned. The schedule was also affected by several extended stops while bills were being settled at different locations, which reduced the amount of free time available later in the tour. We always welcome constructive feedback and continuously work to improve our experiences. At the same time, we believe it is important that reviews accurately reflect the services that were included and the circumstances of the day. Thank you again for visiting Mexico City with us, and we wish you all the best in your future travels. Kind regards
What a wonderful introduction to some unique areas that CDMX has to offer! My wife and I had a private tour with Armando and had a great time. He was very friendly and informative and answered all of our dozens of questions without skipping a beat. We loved the tour of the Xochimilco canals and also really enjoyed Coyoacan. We really liked the opportunity for free time in the area to explore on our own and shop at the weekend artisan market. Casa Azul was wonderful and we are so glad that was included as part of the tour. Would absolutely recommend to first time visitors- lovely for couples/friend groups but would also be fun for families. We will definitely be re-visiting both Xochimilco and Coyoacan on our next visit!
Carlos was a great and fun guide. We learned a great deal about Mexico City’s history, culture and values of its people.
I have no words to describe the kindness and professionalism of Jaime and the entire Stepping Mexico team. My sister and I felt completely safe and comfortable all day on this tour. His knowledge and affection of the area is evident in how he expresses himself and leaves us with such a special taste of Mexico. Jaime is so professional and expert that even people on the street, realizing Jaime’s knowledge and as he told us the story of Coyoacán and its alleys, wanted to join our tour. It made our day so special, it should be noted that when booking the tour I told the operator, Renee that on this tour we were celebrating my sister's birthday and had a very nice detail with her to bring her a cake to sing birthday in the trajinera of Xochimilco, it was so unexpected for her that I leave her even with much more affection of this tour and of Mexico. They are 10/10 recommended always and especially Jaime. Also noteworthy how respectful and what a good driver in the car, we had some ubers in other days that left us nervous, but Jaime was more than excellent! Definitely the best tour to know all these beautiful areas of Mexico. Oh and before I forget, the walk in the Coyocan market is certainly a highlite of this experience, Jaime guided us to the best toast stand, the best toast we tasted throughout our visit to Mexico.
Sarai is totally delightful and very knowledgeable. We especially loved our boat ride at Xochimilco -- so calm and relaxing after the hour-long drive through crazy Mexico City traffic! Also was a really good thing to start early in the morning while it was still a little cool. Coyohuacan is charming, and I could definitely spend more time there. The Blue House gives a good idea of what Frida's (and Diego's) life was like, although it was quite crowded and difficult to see all the exhibits due to other tourists blocking the way.
Esly is a wonderful guide! Knowledgeable, passionate about the subject matter and the history of Mexico City and the various cultures who have built it and lived here over the . She was patient answering our questions and she took us to a few spots we requested to go. We thought the Chuleta ride down the river mightbe a little too touristy, but it was lovely. Tasting the pulque was really good, and the probiotics were good for our digestion! : ). We asked to get some cacao powder and she took us to the marketplace where we purchased high-quality cacao in addition to an amazing chocolate! Frida Kahlos house is a must see and skipping the line is always good! Ashley suggested an excellent restaurant where we dined at the end of our day.
This is our second time doing this tour. This time I booked directly with the operator to customize the tour. We had an incredible experience exploring Mexico City with Jaime and Francisco. They were punctual, Jaime was a great tour guide, and we had a fantastic day. I’ll definitely book with them again in the future.
