Queste bellissime piscine sono formate tra rocce di grande bellezza, originate da antiche eruzioni vulcaniche, con lava solidificata in pietra basaltica.

Forte do Negrito si trova nella zona balneare di Negrito, nella parrocchia di São Mateus da Calheta, comune di Angra do Heroísmo, sulla costa meridionale dell'isola di Terceira, nelle Azzorre. Costruito intorno al 1560, aveva lo scopo di difendere la parte meridionale della costa dell'isola, a ovest della città di Angra, insieme ai forti della stessa linea.

Un antico vulcano spento che ha avuto origine nel mare e si è unito alla città di Angra do Heroísmo. Attualmente è un paesaggio protetto e parco naturale della città con ottimi punti panoramici. Nel Monte Brasil si trova il Castello di S. João Baptista, una delle più grandi e importanti fortezze filippine, costruita nel nostro paese alla fine del XVI secolo. In questo luogo, che invita a una rilassante passeggiata, è presente anche un sentiero pedonale ben segnalato.

Associata alle Scoperte durante i secoli XV e XVI, Angra do Heroísmo è un esempio della creazione di una città strettamente legata alla sua funzione marittima, essendo stata uno scalo per le flotte dall'Africa e dalle Indie. Nel 1983, l'UNESCO lo ha classificato come Patrimonio dell'Umanità. Un'espressione del nuovo mondo portato dal Rinascimento e che le Scoperte fondarono ad Angra, una città atlantica nata per il commercio e la navigazione con mura scure e una potente fortezza costruita per proteggerla.
Il miglior punto panoramico con vista sullo splendido "Ilhéus das Cabras" e su una piattaforma lavica di circa 3000 anni "Serretinha" o come è conosciuta "Fajã do Fisher".
La baia di Salga, il faro di Cotendas e la chiesa di São Sebastião sono luoghi turistici dell'isola di Terceira che definiscono e caratterizzano la cultura dell'isola di Terceira.

We had a fantastic day with Roberto! He picked us up at the airport and dropped us off. Due to heavy rain and fog, he rescheduled the tour which was a great success and we cannot thank him enough. We were able to enjoy the natural wonders, culture and history of Terceira with Roberto's great and informative interpretation. The lunch was incredibly delicious and plentiful. A must if you want to get a complete picture of the island in one day. We are grateful for this unforgettable experience.

Beautiful scenery, amazing geology, dramatic history. Be sure to book your lunch through your tour for incredibly delicious Portuguese food! If the guide had a better command of English, the tour would have been better, but she went above and beyond in helping us try to locate relatives on the island.

This was the most amazing tour. We had such an amazing day while Jessica showed us the island. She paid attention to every detail of what we were expecting out of the experience. We can’t thank her enough for all she did to make this an experience we will never forget.

Great tour of the island. Roberto picked me up from the airport on time and made sure to show me and tell me everything about the island on my short layover. He had me try some coffee from this cute little place and made sure I was able to take the best shots of anything I wanted to take pictures of. He even lent me his jacket to keep warm since mine was kind of light for the windy weather that day. Then he dropped me back off at the airport on time for my flight.
