A partire da un giro lungo la costa, avrai la possibilità di vedere alcuni villaggi marini greci e l'isola di Salamina. Salamina è il luogo in cui si è svolta la storica battaglia navale tra ateniesi e persiani. La nostra prima tappa della giornata, il Canale di Corinto. Alla fine fu aperto nel 1892, separando il Peloponneso dal resto della Grecia, mentre collegava il Golfo Saronico al Mar Corinto. Avendo il tempo di attraversare un ponte pedonale e ammirare il canale più vicino, potresti fare bungee jumping in alcuni giorni (se stai giocando).
Visiteremo il sito archeologico e il museo dell'antica Olimpia. Questo è uno dei siti più grandi della Grecia, il luogo di nascita dei Giochi Olimpici e il Santuario di Zeus Olimpio. Camminando attraverso il sito passerai vicino al Ginnasio, al Palaistra, al laboratorio di Fidia, al Tempio di Zeus e finirai allo Stadio dove ogni quattro anni i Greci gareggiavano per la gloria e per l'elevazione spirituale onorando le loro città.
Il museo è anche abbastanza singolare in quanto include la famosa statua "Hermes of Praxiteles" con le sue analogie e strumenti perfetti appartenuti allo stesso Fidia. Con gli strumenti ha creato una delle sette meraviglie del mondo "la statua in avorio d'oro di Zeus".
Il Museo di Storia dei Giochi Olimpici Antichi ospita 463 opere antiche, dal Tempio di Zeus a Olimpia, e altri musei nel territorio greco. I reperti coprono un'ampia gamma cronologica, dal II millennio a.C. fino al V secolo d.C. Antica esposta in unità tematiche e attraverso di esse yperchilietis mostra la storia dei giochi olimpici, la più antica istituzione antica. Oltre all'arte antica, il visitatore ha la possibilità di informazioni dettagliate attraverso il ricco materiale visivo. Dopo una passeggiata sulle orme di antichi atleti pranzeremo al villaggio.

Stephanos MALATOS was a great guide- he briefed us on the various sites just prior to entering and oriented us on where we entered and where we would exit. He gave us enough time to explore on our own and kept in touch via what’s app. The lunch was wonderful and he picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. Very knowledgeable and very personable.

This tour was amazing and a must do for anyone visiting Greece. It is a bit of a drive from Athens but definitely worth the trip. Our driver, Nasos, was wonderful. He has a detailed and thorough knowledge of the site. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I highly recommend this tour company, and be sure to request Nasos as your driver!

The private tour by Olive Sea Travel is excellent! It was a great way to end our 14-day Greece holiday. Highly recommend the trip to Ancient Olympia. It is such a massive, awesome archaelogical site! Get the combined ticket that include admission to the 2 museums - it's well worth it. And do race down the 600 ft track at the stadium when you get there! Super fun! A special mention on Yannis, our tour guide. He is so warm, friendly and accommodating. Despite the long drive from Athens, it was never boring as we could chat with Yannis and learn from him much about Greece. Thanks Yannis for suggesting the little village (can't recall the name) you brought us for lunch. Such a peaceful village and cosy family restaurant. We had a private tour from Athens anf the drive itself was scenic. We could see the Corinth canal and the seat of Ancient Olympics. The two museums are a must see.
