Il Bang Pa-In Summer Palace è stato utilizzato dai re thailandesi come loro ritiro estivo nel XVII secolo. Tuttavia, il palazzo fu distrutto con la caduta del regno di Ayutthaya e fu restaurato dal re Rama IV a metà del XIX secolo. Wat Phra Si Sanphet si trovava all'interno del Grand Palace e fungeva da cappella reale, come fa Wat Phra Kaeo a Bangkok. Quando il re Borom Trai Lokanat comandò la costruzione di nuovi alloggi, questo palazzo residenziale fu trasformato in un tempio e l'istituzione di Wat Phra Si Sanphet.
Wat Mahathat, in Thailandia, era un tempio reale del regno di Ayutthaya. È uno dei templi più antichi e significativi della storia di Ayutthaya poiché ospitava la sacra reliquia del Buddha. Wat Chaiwattanaram è uno dei siti storici più visitati di Ayutthaya. Il tempio fu costruito nel 1630 dal re Prasat Thong per onorare sua madre, caratterizzato dallo stile architettonico influenzato dal tempio di Angkor in Cambogia, la sua caratteristica unica è un grande prang centrale (pagoda in stile Khmer) circondato da piccoli prang, che simboleggiano il monte Sumeru, la montagna degli dei secondo la credenza indù. We had an excellent morning visiting Ayutthaya and the summer palace of Bang Pa-In. Everything was very well organized, and the places were beautiful and peaceful. A big thank you to our guide Lin, very professional and passionate, with clear and interesting explanations, as well as to our driver Kevin, punctual and very pleasant, for a smooth and comfortable ride. Our afternoon trip to Ayutthaya was an incredible experience and a perfect way to discover Thailand’s rich historical heritage. Ayutthaya Historical Park was fascinating to explore. The ancient ruins and temples showcase the greatness of the former capital and create a truly unique atmosphere. Wat Mahathat was particularly memorable. The famous Buddha head embraced by tree roots is an extraordinary sight and one of the most iconic landmarks in Thailand. Wat Lokayasutharam impressed us with its magnificent reclining Buddha. The site feels calm and spiritual, making it a very special place to visit. Wat Na Phra Men was another highlight. Its beautiful architecture and historical significance make it stand out among the temples of Ayutthaya. Wat Chaiwatthanaram was absolutely spectacular. The elegant structures, historical importance, and stunning surroundings make it one of the most beautiful temples in the region. A huge thank you to our guide Lin, who made this tour exceptional. Her enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and clear explanations helped us understand the history behind every site we visited. She shared so many interesting stories and details that sparked our curiosity and inspired us to learn even more about Thailand’s history and culture. Even though I arrived about 40 minutes late because of Bangkok’s terrible morning traffic, the tour team was very understanding and welcoming. Once we got into the van, our guide Lin immediately made us feel comfortable. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Thai history, and she explained every site in a fascinating and engaging way. Her positive attitude and constant smile made the experience even more enjoyable. Our driver Kevin was calm, professional, and attentive throughout the day. He always made sure everyone was comfortable and provided water whenever we needed it. The places we visited were absolutely stunning and full of history. One of the highlights for me was seeing the impressive 19-meter-high Buddha statue, which was truly breathtaking. Lin is the kind of guide every traveler hopes for. In 110-degree heat, while managing allergies and a long day, she never wavered in her patience, kindness, and professionalism. She took photos of our family at every opportunity, was attentive to my grandmother's needs—holding her hand, bringing her along everywhere, and making sure she felt cared for and included at every stop. What really stood out was her responsiveness. She answered every question we threw at her, added new locations to the tour on the fly, and even worked her charm to get the monk at the temple to provide blessing bracelets for us (no small feat!). She balanced being knowledgeable with being personable—sharing engaging fun facts and personal stories that showed genuine openness about her culture and heritage. Kevin, her driver, deserves equal praise for his safe driving, helpfulness, and wealth of knowledge. We can't recommend Lin enough. If you book a tour with her, you're in excellent hands.

Lin was absolutely amazing… and I feel like I am picky when it comes to touring. She was so kind, helping my elderly mother around. Great tour with visit of Summer Palace and the relevant temples and facilities in Ayutthaya. Everything was great, could only have been a little less fast - in the end we were back a little earlier than planned.

Adam as our personal tourguide/historian/photographer and Rock as our driver were both so amazing and made the day full of adventure. They both ensured our wellbeing and safety throughout the day.
