Tre palazzi formano questo recinto: il Mexuar, il Palazzo di Comares (Yusuf I) e la Corte dei Leoni (Mohammed V).
L'Alcazaba, o fortezza, è la parte più antica dell'Alhambra. Fu costruito verso la metà del XIII secolo dal Sultano Alhamar, il fondatore della dinastia dei Nasridi.
Il complesso è costituito dal Patio de la Acequia (Cortile del Canale d'acqua o Cortile del giardino d'acqua), che ha una lunga piscina incorniciata da aiuole, fontane, colonnati e padiglioni, e il Jardín de la Sultana (Giardino del Sultano o Cortile del Cipresso).
Il Palazzo di Carlo V è un edificio rinascimentale a Granada, nel sud della Spagna, situato sulla cima della collina dell'Assabica, all'interno della fortificazione nasride dell'Alhambra. L'edificio non è mai stato dimora di un monarca e ospita il museo dell'Alhambra.

This company is a total FRAUD. We booked Alhambra tour with them six weeks in advance. I emailed them to confirm and also request if we could pick up the tickets from their office. They said we could do so. Then, two days before our tour, they emailed to cancel our tickets. We had travelled thousands of miles, spent thousands of dollars to be in Granada for seeing Alhambra. For them to sell us overpriced tickets and then cancel last minute without even a somewhat honest explanation is completely ridiculous. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE FRAUDS.

It is a beautiful place that emanates a lot of peace and at the same time we learn from the history of the Arab presence in Granada. We want to thank Angela who was our guide for these three hours where she explained every detail and answered all our questions. We were very impressed with the treatment and kindness to us.
