Ore 9.00 — Partenza da Beirut La tua Guida professionale e l'autista ti vengono a prendere dal tuo hotel di Beirut e si dirigono a est sull'autostrada di Damasco - salendo attraverso le montagne libanesi mentre la valle della Bekaa si apre drammaticamente sotto, i suoi vigneti e frutteti si estendono tra due catene montuose sotto l'alto sole della Bekaa.
Iniziate dallo Chateau Saint Thomas, una delle tenute a conduzione familiare più rispettate della Valle della Bekaa, che produce vini da vigneti situati a oltre 1.000 metri di altitudine. La combinazione di alta elevazione, notti fresche e intenso sole Bekaa crea condizioni di crescita di notevole complessità, producendo vini che superano costantemente il loro peso sulla scena internazionale. La visita guidata in cantina vi condurrà attraverso il processo di vinificazione dall'uva alla bottiglia, e la degustazione che segue metterà in mostra i loro acclamati Cabernet Sauvignon, uvaggi rossi corposi ed eleganti bianchi che hanno guadagnato medaglie in concorsi internazionali. Un’apertura tranquilla e impressionante alla giornata – e una cantina che spesso sorprende i visitatori che arrivano aspettandosi qualcosa di più piccolo.
Prosegui verso Chateau Kefraya, una delle più grandi e celebrate tenute vinicole del Libano, con oltre 300 ettari di vigneti che si estendono nella pianura della Bekaa. Kefraya è rinomato per il suo blend rosso di punta Comte de M, ampiamente considerato uno dei migliori vini prodotti in Medio Oriente e un vino che ha guadagnato seria attenzione critica da parte delle pubblicazioni internazionali. La visita guidata si sposta attraverso le vaste cantine e sale barrique prima di una degustazione strutturata che mette in mostra l'intera gamma della tenuta - dal potente Comte de M ai bianchi aromatici e al celebre Muse rosé. Per gli amanti del vino, questa è la valle della Bekaa al suo massimo impressionante.
L'ultima cantina è Chateau Ksara, la più antica e storica del Libano, fondata dai monaci gesuiti nel 1857 e oggi il più grande produttore di vino del paese. Il pezzo forte qui è diverso da qualsiasi cosa nelle due tenute precedenti: uno straordinario sistema di cantine romane che si estende per 2 chilometri sotto la cantina, scoperto dai Gesuiti alla fine del XIX secolo e utilizzato da allora per affinare il vino a una temperatura naturalmente costante tutto l'anno. Camminare attraverso questi antichi tunnel dopo una giornata intera di vino Bekaa è una delle esperienze di cantina più memorabili di tutto il mondo del vino — parte archeologia, parte esperienza sensoriale, interamente libanese. La degustazione mette in mostra le iconiche miscele Cabernet-Syrah di Ksara, il croccante Blanc de Blancs e l'amato Sunset Rosé per chiudere una giornata che ti ha portato attraverso tre espressioni molto diverse di ciò che la Bekaa può produrre.
Pranzo a Zahle — la sposa della Bekaa Termina la giornata a Zahle, la destinazione enogastronomica più celebrata del Libano, conosciuta come la Sposa della Bekaa. Le famose terrazze ristorante lungo il fiume Bardawni servono alcune delle più belle mezze libanesi del paese - generose creme di piatti freddi e caldi, carni alla griglia, pane fresco e vino locale con la fresca aria di montagna della Bekaa e il suono del fiume sottostante. Dopo tre visite in cantina e tre degustazioni, il pranzo a Zahle è l'unico modo in cui la giornata dovrebbe finire.

We wanted to try some Lebanese wines and we weren’t disappointed! The tour company went out of their way to arrange some fantastic tastings with a range of Lebanese wine producers ranging from well known to up and coming. I can honestly say it was the best wine tasting experience I have ever had (and that’s saying something!). We also had some brilliant meals to go with the wine and learned so much about its production and the range of grapes grown in this amazing country. What’s more we also experienced the sights, sounds and history of Lebanon as we travelled safely with our amazing guide across the length and breadth of Lebanon. Our guide Albert couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating- nothing was too much trouble. Would I return? Yes and I urge anyone reading this review to make a booking now in the knowledge that they will have an experience they will never forget.

Lebanon Tours were first class from pick up at airport to deliver back, one week later. Hussein Abdullah, the manager, provided efficient and clear email correspondence when arranging the tour. Once in country, the company did exactly as promised - the full itinerary delivered with care & attention to details by Albert, our excellent guide. In fact we were welcomed by all Lebanese we met and the country and facilities were first class for tourism. Sunshine, wine, food and a welcome - what's not to like?

10 of us from the UK, members of a wine club, spent a week exploring Lebanon and it’s wine with Albert as our guide. We visited many vineyards both ones we knew and new ones. We received a first class service, with a real personal touch. The vineyards were really welcoming and gave us some truly memorable experiences. We were also treated to some of the most stunning ancient ruins I’ve ever seen and it was made all the more informative and entertaining by the local guides who took us round. The passion they had for their subject was fantastic . We were also treated to some amazing food both at some of the vineyards, restaurants and even a takeaway kebab in the Armenian quarter which was superb. We did so much in a relatively short time, but never felt rushed and had plenty of spare time to explore on our own. We all felt totally safe at all times. It really was a trip of a lifetime. Thanks to the boss Hussain, and his team , but especially to Albert, Mike and the other drivers. Lebanon and its people will stay in my heart for ever.

I have used Hussein twice now, both times I was very happy with the service and quality of drivers and guides. On tours to Baalbeck, Byblos and Tyr tour of main site was provided by actual archeologist who gave detailed descriptions of each site, this was included in tour price, amazing. Lunch provided daily was always of excellent standard and taste. Hotel booking and airport transfers were as promised, no problems at all. In total I did 7 small group tours and enjoyed every trip, the wine tasting at Ixsir and Musar was one of the best I have ever done and I have had many around the world. I have now visited 70 countries and Lebanon easily goes into my top 5, thanks in part to quality guided tours as well as the beautiful places. I am very happy to recommend this company to anyone fortunate enough to visit Lebanon.
