Borobudur è il più grande tempio buddista del mondo, un tempio buddista Mahayana del IX secolo nella Giava Centrale, in Indonesia, che si distingue per diversi motivi. Costruito in pietra grigia simile all'andesite, presenta nove piattaforme sovrapposte, sei quadrate e tre circolari, sormontate da una cupola centrale. Il tempio è adornato da ben 2.672 pannelli in rilievo e originariamente ospitava 504 statue del Buddha. Mentre esplori il suo vasto sistema di scale e corridoi, incontrerai 1.460 pannelli narrativi in rilievo che raffigurano gli insegnamenti e la vita del Buddha

I had an amazing experience, and a huge part of that was my driver, Joko. He picked me up from the airport when I arrived in Yogyakarta, drove me on all of my tours during my stay, and took me to the train station when I left. From start to finish, he was always punctual, reliable, professional, and made everything completely stress-free. What made the biggest difference, though, was Joko as a person. He is incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely cares about his guests. He always made me feel welcome, was happy to answer my questions, and shared interesting information about the local culture and the places we visited. I always felt safe and well taken care of. The entire experience was perfectly organized, and thanks to Joko I was able to enjoy every day without worrying about transportation or timing. We had an excellent service provided today. We had a custom tour starting from Borobudur at 4am, Sethumbu lookout, then to 2 other temples in the area, Merapi Jeep ride, Prambanan and dropping us at our Yogyakarta hotel. Our driver Joko was excellent, safe and was good company through the tour and arranged the time well and took us to an excellent restaurant near Prambanan. I would recommend them without any doubt! You will be in safe hands with these guys.

We visited Yogyakarta for two days with Surya, who made the experience perfect. Flexible, discreet, and patient. We had an amazing experience with Joko as our driver. He took us to the Royal Ballet, and the highlight of our trip was definitely Borobudur Sunrise via Manohara. It was absolutely incredible, a small group experience with a knowledgeable guide who led us to the best spot on Borobudur Temple for sunrise. He explained the history and meaning behind each level of the temple, and even helped us capture some great photos. Afterwards, we enjoyed an unforgettable breakfast buffet on Nagi Hill, overlooking the temple. The view was breathtaking, it really put into perspective the vast scale and beauty of Borobudur. Later, Joko drove us to Prambanan Temple, about an hour and a half away. He’s a very safe and considerate driver, and his car was so comfortable that we managed to have a quick nap along the way. Once we arrived, he helped us purchase tickets and made sure we were all set with a local guide. The guide was excellent, full of knowledge about the stonework, restoration process, and the temple’s rich history. This was truly an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t recommend Joko enough. If you book a tour with him, you’re guaranteed a magical time. Oh, and you can’t miss his car, a distinctive Chevy that stands out among the crowd of Toyotas!
