Takakkaw Falls è una cascata situata nel Parco Nazionale di Yoho, vicino a Field, nella Columbia Britannica in Canada. Le cascate hanno un'altezza totale di 373 metri (1,224 piedi), rendendole la seconda cascata più alta del Canada. La caduta principale della cascata ha un'altezza di 254 metri (833 piedi) "Takakkaw" si traduce in "magnifico" in Cree. Le cascate sono alimentate dall'acqua di disgelo del ghiacciaio Daly, che fa parte del Waputik Icefield. Lake Louise è famosa nel mondo per i suoi laghi turchesi, il ghiacciaio Victoria, lo sfondo di montagne svettanti, hotel sontuoso e incredibili escursioni e sci. Circondato da una vita di panorami e avventure sbalorditivi, Lake Louise è un luogo raro che deve essere vissuto per crederci.

A seconda delle condizioni, la strada si apre tra la terza settimana di maggio e la prima settimana di giugno e si chiude a ottobre dopo il weekend del Ringraziamento canadese (il secondo lunedì di ottobre).

We had a phenomenal private trip sight seeing in Banff and Yoho National Parks. Manny was our host and driver - he was the best! He provided us with detailed information on the trip & showed us the best spots. He was always willing to take a picture & was kind the entire 10 hour day. We had a group of 7 including 3 children ages 4 & under. He was very patient & so good with them. We couldn’t have asked for a better day seeing one of the most beautiful areas on Earth. We saw Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, Lake Minnewanka, Takakkaw Falls, etc all in one day which maximized our time. Taking a customized, private tour was the way to go so that we didn’t have to worry about parking or driving while also enjoying the views. We highly recommend this tour company. They made things easy and communicated well.

If you are coming to Banff, and you don’t use Augusto as your guide, what’s the point? He was THE BEST guide we have ever had in all of our travels. He was so easy going, knowledgeable, and friendly. Do not book this tour if you expect the driver to talk and share knowledge about the area and places you are visiting. There was silence the entire 9 hours. The driver was kind and accommodating and he did walk with us to the view spots and trails. The sights we saw were spectacular but we were expecting a tour guide to tell us about the places we were visiting.
