7:00 La nostra guida turistica ti incontrerà nella hall dell'hotel, quindi guideremo per 1,5 ore a nord-ovest di Saigon, attraverso la campagna meridionale fino ai leggendari tunnel di Cu Chi. Estendendosi da Saigon al confine tra Vietnam e Cambogia, la rete comprende innumerevoli botole, aree abitative intricate, strutture di stoccaggio e fabbriche di armi, mini ospedali militari, centri di comando e persino cucine. In questo tour esplorerai la vita sotterranea di un soldato vietcong.
- Estendendosi per oltre 200 km, questa rete di tunnel, scavati a mano, collega rifugi, postazioni, ospedali e bunker di armi... Puoi passeggiare per la zona e conoscere la vita di VC, affrontare gli ingressi abilmente camuffati e le elaborate trappole esplosive. Quindi il minivan guiderà per circa due ore per raggiungere l'area del Mekong.
- Goditi il pranzo in un ristorante locale sulla strada per il Mekong. - Dopo pranzo, lascia la grande città alle spalle mentre lo scenario viene gradualmente sostituito da risaie e villaggi rurali durante il viaggio verso My Tho. - Quindi il viaggio inizierà prendendo piccole imbarcazioni e navigando sul fiume per visitare una fabbrica di cocco per conoscere il modo di preparare qui le caramelle al cocco e assaggiare alcuni prodotti locali. Poi hai la possibilità di viaggiare in carrozza trainata da cavalli attraverso il villaggio e goderti alcuni frutti tropicali.
- Dopodiché, l'incredibile gita in barca a remi sul piccolo canale nel villaggio di Tan Thach a Ben Tre è qualcosa da non perdere. Un altro isolotto di questo viaggio ti porterà in un piccolo allevamento di api per gustare tè al miele e altri prodotti locali. Quindi torna al tuo hotel intorno alle 17:30 - 18:00.

Great private tour done with Lee and driver who took us safely everywhere. In the morning we went to the tunnels. In the car Lee told us all about the war history, not only from the books but also from his father. We arrived before the big crowds and the visit was very impressive. The second part of the day was slightly modified at our request; for example a Vietnamese and Buddhist temple (where monks also live) were added and horse and cart ride changed to tuk tuk. We skipped the honey where many tours stop. Lee had arranged a private boat that took us in the Mekong to several stops. All in all had a really great day. A private tour may be a bit more expensive but we really liked it. We booked Lee through tours with locals.

A great day out. Penny was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the tunnels and the history of the Vietnamese war. We learnt so much from her. It is a long day so be prepared for that. We also want to say how great the driver was.
Penny is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and completely made the trip for us. Her English is exceptional. Apart from seeing the the Cu Chi Tunnels, which was quite an eye opening experience, we had a lovely trip along the Mekong Delta, stopping for lunch and going to a couple of small islands which was really interesting. All in all a great day.
