Benvenuti al Tour ebraico privato di San Paolo, condotto da una guida specializzata che vi condurrà in un affascinante viaggio attraverso la storia, la cultura e le tradizioni della comunità ebraica della città più grande del Brasile. Durante questo tour di 5 ore, visiterete punti di riferimento come la prima sinagoga di San Paolo, fondata nel 1912 nel quartiere di Bom Retiro, il tradizionale quartiere ebraico di Higienópolis e il Museo Ebraico di San Paolo, recentemente restaurato e riaperto al pubblico con mostre moderne ed emozionanti. Visiteremo anche una sinagoga Beit Chabad e, per completare l'esperienza, potrete gustare un pasto in un ristorante kasher (facoltativo). Lungo il percorso, la guida vi mostrerà anche altri luoghi e curiosità della città. Suggerimento importante: i biglietti d'ingresso ai musei e i pasti non sono inclusi nel prezzo del tour.

Higienópolis è uno dei quartieri più emblematici di San Paolo, noto per il suo forte legame con la comunità ebraica. Dalla metà del XX secolo, è diventato uno dei principali centri della vita ebraica della città, ospitando una ricca varietà di sinagoghe, istituzioni culturali e stabilimenti kosher. Con una popolazione variegata, Higienópolis ospita molte famiglie ebraiche che hanno contribuito in modo significativo allo sviluppo culturale e sociale della zona. Oltre alle sinagoghe, il quartiere ospita scuole ebraiche, panetterie e ristoranti che seguono le tradizioni culinarie ebraiche, offrendo un'esperienza autentica agli abitanti del luogo e ai visitatori. Il Memoriale dell'Olocausto di San Paolo è uno spazio di memoria e riflessione dedicato a preservare la storia e le lezioni dell'Olocausto. Inaugurato nel novembre 2017, si trova all'ultimo piano del Memoriale dell'immigrazione ebraica, nell'ex sinagoga di Bom Retiro, uno dei quartieri più tradizionali della comunità ebraica di San Paolo.  Il memoriale presenta una collezione interattiva e audiovisiva che comprende fotografie, video, oggetti dell'epoca e installazioni artistiche. Questi elementi raccontano, in modo sensibile ed educativo, gli orrori vissuti da milioni di ebrei durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, sensibilizzando sui pericoli dell'antisemitismo e dell'intolleranza.   La visita è gratuita, su prenotazione, e offre un'esperienza d'impatto che invita all'empatia, al rispetto e all'apprezzamento dei diritti umani.
Il Museo Ebraico di San Paolo (MUJ) è un'istituzione dedicata alla conservazione e alla diffusione della storia, della cultura e delle tradizioni ebraiche in Brasile, promuovendo il dialogo con il contesto brasiliano contemporaneo. Il museo occupa l'edificio della storica sinagoga Beth-El, costruita tra il 1927 e il 1932 in stile bizantino, con sette lati che simboleggiano i sette giorni della Creazione e i sette bracci della menorah. La collezione del MUJ è composta da circa 2.000 articoli, tra cui oggetti, documenti, fotografie e testimonianze orali che raccontano la storia della comunità ebraica in Brasile, dall'arrivo dei primi immigrati fino ai giorni nostri. Il museo offre anche mostre interattive ed educative su temi come l'immigrazione ebraica, l'Olocausto e il contributo degli ebrei alla società brasiliana. Dispone inoltre di una biblioteca specializzata, di un negozio, di una caffetteria e di spazi per eventi e attività culturali. 
Durante il tour ebraico di San Paolo, i viaggiatori avranno l'opportunità di visitare alcune delle sinagoghe storiche e rappresentative della città. Visiteremo alcuni di questi templi dall'esterno, osservando le loro facciate architettoniche e imparando qualcosa sulla loro storia e sulla loro importanza per la comunità. Inoltre, a seconda della disponibilità del giorno del tour, sarà possibile visitare l'interno di una sinagoga funzionante, vivendo più da vicino l'atmosfera spirituale e culturale del luogo. David, our tour guide, knows São Paulo, in general, and Jewish São Paulo, in particular, like the back of his hand. We visited the former and current Jewish neighborhoods and their synagogues and the immigration museum with its Holocaust memorial. Over the course of the tour, we learned a great deal about the history of Jews in São Paulo and Jewish life in the city in the present. David was very friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the culinary aspect of the tour, purchasing challah at a kosher bakery and eating felafel. Regrettably, there wasn’t enough time to visit the Jewish Museum; we’ll have to visit it on our own. We highly recommend this tour.

My trip started with arranged airport transfer driver Moacir Braun. Very organized, prompt, and friendly with all the amenities- charger gum, water, and snacks. Doris picked me up from my hotel and she is a very knowledgeable, funny, and lovely person to spend a few hours with. She is knowledgeable about Sao Paolo, the Jewish community, and the Jewish history. Gave lots of great recommendations for places to see and places to eat.

We had an excellent tour in Sao Paolo with Adi. He showed us Sao Paolo attractions as well as Jewish history and neighborhoods. We learned about his own family and their experiences in Brazil. We had lunch at an Israeli restaurant and tried genuine Brazil chocolate

Adi accommodated our changing flight schedule and picked us up from the airport from where the tour began. He also allowed us to secure our luggage in our hotel to minimize the risk of theft. Adi provided advice for restaurants and was unhurried and very thorough… like a friend. Great guy snd tour.
