Il campanile risale al XIII secolo. Questo straordinario edificio è alto 83 metri. Il campanile è protetto come patrimonio dell'umanità. Chiunque salirà i 366 gradini sarà ricompensato con una vista mozzafiato su Bruges e sui dintorni. Ogni 15 minuti è possibile ascoltare il suono del carillon con le 47 campane.
La cappella inferiore è un bellissimo esempio di architettura romanica. La cappella ha volte ad arco. All'interno è presente un bassorilievo che raffigura il Battesimo di Cristo. La reliquia del Sacro Sangue si trova nella cappella superiore. La cappella superiore è stata ristrutturata nel XIX secolo in stile neogotico ed è impressionante.
Il palazzo dei signori di Gruuthuse ha tre bellissime torrette. Questi riflettono la ricchezza della famiglia. La famiglia Gruuthuse fece fortuna vendendo il "gruut", una miscela di spezie che usavano per fare la birra. Nel XV secolo "gruut" fu sostituito dal luppolo. La famiglia poteva ancora imporre tasse su ogni barile di birra venduto in città! Questo è ovvio mentre ammiriamo la bellezza del palazzo cittadino!
Quello che vedi qui è "improbabile". Tutti sono stupiti quando lo vedono per la prima volta! Un "gasdotto sotterraneo" porta la birra dal birrificio all'impianto di imbottigliamento fuori città. Che bella idea! Sì, ha contribuito a vietare i camion pesanti dal centro della città.
Un'oasi di silenzio circondata da case bianche. Questo straordinario pezzo di patrimonio mondiale ospitava beghine, donne laiche emancipate che conducevano una vita devota e celibe. Oggi il beghinaggio è abitato da 5 suore dell'Ordine di San Benedetto e da donne single.
La Chiesa di Nostra Signora domina lo skyline della città. È letteralmente il "punto più alto" dell'arte dello scalpellino a Bruges. Tra i tanti tesori d'arte c'è una bellissima Madonna col Bambino in marmo di Carrara. La statua è stata creata da Michelangelo. Anche il biglietto è incluso. Non perdetevi questo capolavoro!

The guide was very informative and was able to walk slowly with us which was great since I walk very slowly. My only criticism was that it was supposed to be a tasting of artisanal chocolates that was not included in the tour. So if you’re expecting that, maybe that won’t happen
The private tour with Anne was a lot of fun. Anne is a very friendly tour guide with a lot of knowledge about the city, its history and chocolate and pralines. She took a lot of time for us, a great introduction to getting to know Bruges! Clearly recommended!

The walking tours did not stop to give you the information about the site or allow time for pictures and to take in the area. We just moved on to the next and the time on your own was confusing because the walk was not clear on the sites to see
Ann is a thoughtful guide, who showed us Brugges in an original and unusual way on foot for more than 2 hours. Small breaks to enjoy chocolates, drink a local beer and eat a waffle allowed us to enjoy and soak up life in Brugges. Ann shares anecdotes and stories of Brugges with great love. Very attentive and intentional. Recommended.

Ann is a fantastic guide / we went by bike We visited the Triennial by bike , went for lunch , then another trip along the artworks, but in the meantime we also visited surprising and historic places and gave us professional explanations ! .....recommended...
Ann seemed a little shy at first. But once she saw there was interest, she got on her feet. She has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of facts, of artists and fait-divers. She has contacts with chocolatiers (Dumon, explanation of Persoone) artists (from TraumA de triennale Brugge, David De Graef - air-brush - in one of the most beautiful places in Bruges). She guided us through Bruges with an eye for the top attractions but especially to get the lesser-known attractions from under the dust. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Els and Rik
