This tour was not a tour at all but a chauffeured ride to different place in the overland and Bern. The description is false advertising it is not guided and the driver barely spoke English. Very disappointing as this has a $1000 price tag which is steep for no information at all being given. That being said he did take us to a lot of places and it being Switzerland it was beautiful. So if you decide to take this chauffeur self study beforehand so you know where to go and what to see. Also when I wanted to complain and asked him to call the tour company he explained it’s impossible they are in India and don’t speak English.
Our driver couldn’t have been nicer. Important to know that this isn’t a private tour as much as private transportation to various places. So you’ll need to book additional activities at each stop.
This was not a "private tour". This was a car with a driver who was able to provide no information / guidance about Switzerland. Every other tour I've been on includes an operator who gives you guidance on how much time to spend in each location to ensure you can cover everything within the set time. Our "guide" provided no such information. You need to do your own research so you can provide instructions on what to visit (which for $900 is insane - this "tour" felt like such a ripoff). Further, our driver tried to charge us a 100CHF extra for overtime. We were lucky in that we had confirmed how long it would take to get back to Zurich and after pushing back because we boarded the car on time, he dropped it. However, once again, this is indicative of what a ripoff this tour was - I would highly recommend you make use of the amazing public transportation Switzerland has instead of this tour. You will save so much money and learn the same amount as you would by choosing this.
Hi NAVIN_P, we are very sorry to hear that you haven't had wonderful experience on our tour, Just to clarify it was private tour only with your group, you must be aware that private cars are very expensive in Switzerland, the price which you have mentioned in review quite optimized including car service and booking fee. You are absolutely write one can enjoy all the towns in Switzerland with our train transportation, but it takes few days of time to cover the places in itinerary and you have to spot each place, walk around by yourself to explore. Yes we agree our guides are not historian but they are local experts who have knowledge of each location they are visiting and help the travelers to take the best scenic spots, avoid hassle of changing trains, finding paths and everything. Most of the travelers in Switzerland opt for public transportation, these tours are designed for travelers who want to sit back, relax and enjoy the Swiss beauty on comfort in private car. Hope this clarify all the concerns and thanks for your visit with us.
I would not call this tour. Our driver was nice but he was basically just that—a driver. He simply dropped us off at the locations and spoke very little English. I’ve been a many Viator tours, but this was the weakest one by far. Also, when a family signs up for 4 people, why would there not be a van or SUV? He picked us up in a sedan. I was cramped in the front passenger seat and 3 women were very cramped in the back seat. For $900 I was expecting more. Lastly, the drive had a different itinerary than we did which caused some confusion. He was not happy when I showed him that we signed up for a 10 hourvtour. Otherwise, the itinerary and destinations were fine.
We had a great day driving to Bern and Interlochen. Our guide Balihar was great. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all our needs. We let him guide us the whole day and he did a great job. I highly recommend spending the day with Balihar
This was a private and flexible tour. Mr Balihar Talwar made this tour to be cherished for years to come. He is very professional and friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate all of our requests. In addition of going to Bern, Thun Castle, Interlaken, Harder Kulm, and other great places, he took us to Iseltwald which was the highlight for my wife who is a k-drama fan, as it is one of the main locations of the series Crash Landing. He really did an excellent job.
