Viaggio alla Royal Delft in auto. Royal Delft, conosciuta anche come De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, è l'unica sopravvissuta tra le circa 32 fabbriche di terracotta emerse intorno alla metà del XVII secolo a Delft e nei suoi dintorni. Alla fine del XVI secolo furono fatti tentativi di replicare la porcellana orientale utilizzando l'argilla locale, portando alla creazione di laboratori di ceramica a Delft e Rotterdam. Royal Delft, fondata nel 1653, ha visto vari cambiamenti di proprietà nel corso dei secoli, adattandosi a sfide come la concorrenza della porcellana e le fluttuazioni economiche. Alla fine del XIX secolo, sotto la guida di Joost Thooft, l'azienda fece rivivere la tradizione della ceramica Delft Blue, ottenendo fama internazionale. In riconoscimento dei suoi sforzi, all'azienda è stato concesso il titolo "Royal" nel 1919. Oggi, Royal Delft continua a onorare il suo ricco patrimonio innovando per preservare e promuovere l'arte di Delftware.
