We had booked excursion from Aswan to Abu Simbel at 14h to be back at the boat 8 hours after. Thank goodness someone told us that the road closes at 17.00 and would be impossible to return to the boat. Also we had included admission tickets and they asked us to pay them. We had asked for private tour : the van was for our group but not the guide Abu Simbel is worth the trip but not so sure with this company
We had a great tour of Abu Simbel. Our guide was Dalia Moho and she was very friendly and kind and looked after us very well indeed. She was very informative and ensured we had a great day. The driver was also very good and drove well. We also left our belongings behind and they delivered it to us the next day which was very kind of them. Thoroughly recommend this tour and company for your travel needs.
Six of us had a private tour, which was a huge savings over the optional excursion offered by our Globus tour. Our tour guide met us at our river cruise boat and then dropped us at a hotel afterward. It's a long ride (3+ hours each way) with nothing but desert in between. Abu Simbel is fantastic. The only thing keeping it from being a 5-star review was our tour guide. She didn't provide as much history and narrative as we would have liked.
Thank you to Georgina for correcting our pickup location and accommodating the additional two people to our group of 6. Our pickup at 7:30 was perfect and on time. Our guide Yosura was very good, easy to understand and knowledgable. She answered all our questions, there was a lot and we talked all the way to Abu Simbel. When we got there it was very quiet and only a few people there, like a private tour of the temples. It is a long walk from the car park to the temples, so Yosura was able to get golf cart for those who need it. It was a great day trip, we spent a couple of hours at the two temples and were back at the boat around 5pm.
