Il complesso monastico medievale di Kecharis si trova nella parte nordoccidentale della città di Tsaghkadzor. È degno di nota non solo per l'originalità architettonica, ma anche per la sua storia interessante. La sua formazione durò 220 anni, con oltre 150 anni di interruzioni. Tale destino fu dovuto alle peculiarità del periodo storico. La costruzione del monastero iniziò durante il regno della dinastia Bagratuni e fu continuata dalla dinastia Pahlavuni. La prima chiesa nell'area del complesso monastico di Kecharis, San Gregorio l'Illuminatore, fu costruita nel 995-1003, e poi furono costruiti altri luoghi sacri. Il monastero di Kecharis comprende tre chiese, San Gregorio l'Illuminatore con una sala a cupola, le chiese di San Nshan e San Cathoghike, due cappelle e un cortile. Un po' più a ovest, sulla strada per la foresta c'è un'altra chiesa – St Harutiun. A differenza dei monasteri simili dell’Armenia, le strutture principali di Kecharis formano un angolo dritto sui propri pilastri.
Il lago di montagna Sevan è la "perla dell'Armenia". Il teritorio del chiostro è ricco di khachqar (pietre incrociate).
La funivia a poltrona di Tsaghkadzor si trova sul versante orientale del Monte Teghenis 1966-2819 m sopra il livello del mare. Funziona dal 1967. Dall'altezza di 2819 m, dove la veloce seggiovia vi porterà in 32 minuti, tutta l'Armenia è visibile a colpo d'occhio e, se il tempo è sereno, si può godere di una vista mozzafiato sul Monte Ararat. Nel 2004 la vecchia funivia è stata sostituita con una nuova e moderna, inoltre nel 2017 sono stati fatti importanti investimenti. Ora la funivia è ben attrezzata, il riposo attivo e sicuro per i turisti è garantito.

Our 2nd day tour in Armenia was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. We truly enjoyed every stop and felt so blessed to experience snow for the first time — it was magical! ❄️✨ The cable car ride in Tsaghkadzor was unforgettable, especially as first-timers. We also loved warming up with hot chocolate there — it was really good and perfect for the cold weather ☕🤍 Lake Sevan was stunning, and the restaurant beside the lake was a great choice. The food was delicious and the view made the experience even better. Most importantly, our tour guide Davit Tovmasyan was excellent — very kind, professional, and speaks English very well, which made everything easy and enjoyable for us. He explained the places clearly and made the whole day smooth and fun. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable day. Highly recommended — we enjoyed it so much and will cherish these memories of Armenia forever 🇦🇲❤️

The experience was really nice. We booked the whole Armenia trip with IFly tourism. We experienced the cable ride and it was amazing. The view was from the top was exceptional. We also went to see the Sevan Lake. The view was really beautiful and it was veryy cold. We drank some coffee and hot chocolate and enjoyed the view. The car ride seeing the place fully covered with white snow was really beautiful. Everyone should experience this in their life atleast once. A lot of thanks to IFly tourism.

Good experience. All the places have their own charm. Its nice to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. A little bit pricey, ultimately paying for a cab ride.
