Le sculture mozzafiato nel cimitero della Recoleta mostrano la ricca storia di questo bellissimo paese. Molte delle figure più influenti e controverse della storia argentina hanno qui il loro ultimo luogo di riposo, tra cui la sua first lady più famosa, Evita. Qui vedrete presto come Buenos Aires ha ottenuto il suo soprannome di ‘La Parigi del Sud America’. Questo quartiere ospita molti dei palazzi più lussuosi della città, case, caffè e shopping di fascia alta. Passeggeremo per alcune delle strade più esclusive e belle della città, apprezzando la ricca architettura, la storia e il fascino.
Abbondano 360 viste di eccellenza architettonica storica. La stazione ferroviaria di Retiro, la British Tower, il Kavanaugh Building (il primo grattacielo della città ed eccellente esempio di "architettura razionalista"), i Palacios San Martin e Paz: tutti sono visibili dalla Plaza così chiamata in onore dell'eroe più celebre dell'Argentina, Jose San Martino. Da qui prenderemo la metropolitana, già di per sé un'opera d'arte, verso la nostra prossima destinazione.
L'Obelisco è il punto centrale del 9 de Julio, il viale più ampio del pianeta. Questo è anche il cuore della versione di "Times Square" di Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires è sempre elencata tra le prime 10 città al mondo per il teatro dal vivo e qui lo vedrai in piena mostra, con il bellissimo Teatro Colón e numerosi teatri in stile Broadway tutt'intorno. Cammineremo lungo la Diagonal Norte, con vista continua sull'Obelisco, fino alla nostra prossima destinazione.
Sede della "Casa Rosa" (la versione argentina della "Casa Bianca"), della Cattedrale nazionale (dove lavorava Papa Francesco!), del Cabildo (il primo edificio governativo dell'Argentina quando era ancora una colonia spagnola), oltre a molti altri edifici squisiti e storici. La Plaza de Mayo è tanto interessante quanto bella.
Agli albori di Buenos Aires, San Telmo ospitava le famiglie più ricche della città. Una serie di epidemie di febbre gialla portò i ricchi a trasferirsi alla periferia della città (oggi Recoleta e Retiro) e San Telmo iniziò il suo decadente declino. Artisti e classe operaia si trasferirono presto nelle ville, trasformando il quartiere in ciò per cui è ora amato: un paradiso bohémien per antiquariato, tango, caffè, bar e ristoranti, nonché il famoso mercato di San Telmo che si tiene ogni domenica. Questa è un'ottima zona per fare shopping, fare spuntini, guardare un po' di tango di strada e immergersi nell'atmosfera rilassata della città.
Sede del porto originale del paese, La Boca è ora più conosciuta per le sue strade colorate piene di tango, arte e fútbol (aka calcio!). La ricca storia di La Boca è ancora molto viva nei numerosi conventillos (alloggi per la forza lavoro del vecchio porto) ora convertiti in caffè, steakhouse e negozi di souvenir. Come San Telmo, questa è una zona meravigliosa per conoscere gli inizi molto umili della città, gustare alcuni gusti locali e tango, e raccogliere un ricordo o 2. Alla fine del tour, ti riporteremo alla tua dimora, dove potrai rivivere tutti i ricordi che abbiamo creato in questa straordinaria giornata.

We booked a full day tour with Tracy and she was the best! She was personable, easy to work with (communicated several times by email before the day) and so knowledgeable about her adopted country. I appreciated the way she could weave history and current events into her presentation and give us some cultural context. She suggested a great local restaurant for lunch and spent the whole day sharing stories of her life and the culture of Buenos Aires. Her driver, Renzo helped us stay dry on a drizzly day and also took us to/from the airport. Renzo communicated with us via WhatsApp and we felt better knowing he was taking such good care of us. Tracy and Renzo are a great team who work well together with the genuine interest in sharing Buenos Aires with their guests. We now feel like we have new friends in Buenos Aires! What more can I say other than an absolutely fantastic full day walking tour, followed by an evening out to Tracey’s Tango club to watch the locals dance. Tracey and her colleague Renzo are brilliant hosts with a great knowledge of Buenos Aires. It was like being shown around by long term friends. I have absolutely no problem in recommending Tracey. Avoid the big group tours and go for the much more personal experiences as offered by Tracey

First off, I would like to thank Tracy for a wonderful day. Tracy is truly gifted and knowledgeable guide. Not originally being from Argentina, Tracy was very knowledgeable of Argentina’s history and culture, and she gave a very unique prospective. From originally booking this tour, it was easy to communicate with Tracy using WhatsApp, and this helped make for a stress free day. I believe Tracy incorporated some of the most historical locations, from the Recoleta cemetery, the La Boca neighborhood, to the Pink House into a well rounded tour. Tracy was a wonderful tour guide. We booked a private tour for 3 of us, and loved the entire experience. She was down to earth and easy to communicate with. With Tracy as our guide (and her excellent driver Renzo), our full-day private tour of Buenos Aires was fabulous! We started at the fascinating historical Recoleta Cemetery, then on to the city center, the Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, plus much more. We especially enjoyed LaBoca, the colorful original city port, and San Telmo. The route and stops were tailored to our interests and pace. Along the way, Tracy shared many interesting details and fascinating stories, reflecting her immense knowledge of the customs and history of Buenos Aires. She taught us so much about local culture and opened the world of Milonga to us. Tracy is not only an outstanding guide, but a professional dancer herself, and so talented. On a separate tour on another day, we visited famous gardens of Buenos Aires, including the beautiful Japanese garden. By the time our tours were over, we felt like Tracy was not just our tour guide, but a wonderful new friend. We look forward to seeing her again as our guide when we’re back in Argentina. Oh, to be in Buenos Aires again!

Tracy gave a very comprehensive tour of the neighborhoods and sites of Buenos Aires. She arranged airport pickups for us and suggested other options for us before our tour so we did not duplicate what we saw. She used a combo of walking, private driver and subway to get to the major neighborhoods. As she is originally Canadian we had no problem understanding her and she could explain cultural differences easily to us from the US. She has been in Buenos Aires for 8 years so navigated through the city easily. The time flew by as she delved into history and culture.

We had an amazing day with Tracy on the full day walking tour. She has an incredible knowledge of the history and culture of Buenos Aires, and her passion for the city shines through. We covered a huge area but the combination of walking, a private driver and the subway made the day fly by.
