Fantastic hike and visit to the Monastery! Complete walking and guided tours, very Recommendation self-help Traveler to participate, absolutely worth it! This mountain is very special, it is not high altitude, the autumn winter is more comfortable, there are some buildings at the foot of the mountain, some of the history of Napoleon, and some of the history of the revolt at the time.
Such a fabulous day spent with Ramon exploring Monserrat and waking down the hillside. Ramon is engaging and able to personalize the experience to guests interests and abilities. His knowledge surrounding the monastery and the mountain surroundings was palpable and made for a delightful cruise port experience that went beyond the average tourist activity. Great communication after the booking and leading up to date of tour, where to meet, wear. If you want to experience the beauty beyond Barcelona highly recommend.
The monastery is lovely, but my favorite part was hiking the trails and exploring the viewpoints. Geologically interesting, as well as historically influential. A rewarding day trip in every way.
