A soli 40 minuti da Atene, il lago Vouliagmeni è un centro termale naturale unico immerso in uno scenario mozzafiato. Conosciuto per le sue acque calde e ricche di minerali, il lago è una destinazione popolare per il relax e gli amanti della natura. Ufficialmente riconosciuto dal Comitato Speciale per la Protezione delle Risorse Termali Naturali della Grecia, il Lago Vouliagmeni offre un inizio rinfrescante per il vostro tour della regione dell'Attica. L'acqua del Lago sgorga da sorgenti profonde da 50 a 100 metri a una temperatura che varia tra 22 e 29 gradi Celsius tutto l'anno. Il lago sfocia in mare poiché il suo livello dell'acqua si trova a 50 cm sopra il livello dell'acqua del mare. Questo aiuta nel continuo rinnovamento delle acque del lago e ne determina la composizione salmastra.
A 30 minuti di auto da Vouliagmeni si arriva all'antico Tempio di Poseidone a Capo Sounion, arroccato sulla costa meridionale dell'Attica che si affaccia sul Mare di Myrtoan. Costruito tra il 444 e il 440 a.C. all’epoca di Pericle, questo tempio era dedicato a Poseidone, il dio del mare. Il tempio fungeva da vedetta chiave per le navi che entravano e uscivano dal porto del Pireo. Godetevi una vista mozzafiato sulla costa egea e immergetevi in secoli di storia greca. Panos was our tour guide and driver for this experience. He was amazing to do this experience with die to his knowledge of Greek history. He was patience with us and our questions about Greece. His driving made us feel at ease during the trip. Excellent guide and scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the Temple of Poseidon and listening to Panos sharing Greek history with us.
Our tour guide, Giannis, was awesome and very flexible. He drives carefully and we always felt safe. The temple is nice and in a wonderful location. The drive to get there is a bit long but with nice views along the coastline. It’s worth the trip if you have a few days in Athens.
The trip was amazing and our guide John was very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to spend a lot of time at the temple and we even got to see the lake, so that was pretty. The drive to the site was beautiful, and would highly recommend this tour!
Both the lake and the Temple of Poseidon provided beautiful experiences. The day was beautiful and the pictures were fantastic. It's been many decades since I last visited the Temple of Poseidon so I was very happy to do so with my cousins that finally came back in Greece from Australia. So much have changed over the years but we were so excited to have this tour and it far exceeded our expectations. The driver was very pleasant and he didn't mind our jokes and loudness.
