Itinerario del tour 1️⃣ Castello di Lekuresi La nostra prima destinazione è il Castello di Lekuresi, una suggestiva fortezza risalente al XVI secolo. Costruito a forma quadrata con due torri rotonde posizionate diagonalmente, il castello offre una vista panoramica su Saranda, sul Mar Ionio e sulla vicina isola greca di Corfù. 2️⃣ L’occhio azzurro (Syri i Kaltër) Successivamente, visiteremo la sorgente degli occhi azzurri, una delle meraviglie naturali più affascinanti dell'Albania. L’acqua cristallina ribolle dal profondo della terra, creando un “occhio” blu intenso ipnotizzante circondato da una vegetazione lussureggiante. 3️⃣ Parco nazionale di Butrint La nostra ultima tappa è il Parco Nazionale di Butrinto, un sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO che mette in mostra strati di storia di antiche civiltà. Qui, esplorerai: Il teatro romano Il tempio di Asclepio L'acquedotto La chiesa bizantina Passeggiare per il parco è come viaggiare nel tempo – dal periodo ellenistico alle epoche romana e bizantina – il tutto immerso in un tranquillo scenario naturale.

Il castello si trova su un punto collinare strategico che domina la città di Saranda, a sud-est del centro della città. Da qui si può controllare l'intera città e le isole di Ksamil.
Buthrotum era un'antica città greca e successivamente romana e vescovile in Epiro. Abitato fin dalla preistoria, Buthrotum era una città della tribù greca dei Chaonians, in seguito una colonia romana e un vescovato. Abitato fin dalla preistoria, Butrinto è stato il sito di una colonia greca, una città romana e un vescovato. Dopo un periodo di prosperità sotto l'amministrazione bizantina, poi una breve occupazione da parte dei veneziani, la città fu abbandonata nel tardo Medioevo dopo la formazione di paludi nell'area. L'attuale sito archeologico è un deposito di rovine che rappresentano ogni periodo dello sviluppo della città.
La bellezza di una fitta foresta verde mescolata alle acque cristalline delle sorgenti. Molto interessante anche la presenza di un raro insetto chiamato "La libellula blu" L'occhio azzurro (albanese: Syri i kaltër) è una sorgente d'acqua, fenomeno naturale che si verifica a Sarande, in Albania. Una popolare attrazione turistica, la limpida acqua blu del fiume sgorga da una splendida piscina profonda più di cinquanta metri. I subacquei sono scesi a cinquanta metri, ma non è ancora chiaro quale sia la profondità effettiva della buca carsica.

We were on a Seabourn cruise and the on board shore excursions only include 2 of the 3 major things to see during our stop. Instead of settling for 2 we searched out for a private tour that would take us to all 3 locations. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Easy to communicate with once we arrived in port, prompt pickup and a fantastic tour. Een include front row parking at the sites. Upon return our tour guide recommended a wonderful restaurant on the beach and then we had a short walk back to the ship. Awesome experience.

It was a bit chaotic when we got there but our driver knew how to get us to the front. The water colour is just breathtaking . There are a few short walks along the banks of the water too, which are so peaceful, even with the people there. The water is very cold!
We took a trip to Albania from Corfu and booked this excursion and Butrint on our ferry on the way over,The colours and clarity of the water is amazing. We were told it was safe to drink the water so we tried it. It was cool refreshing and tasted good. It is a place which deserve to be visited, for sure

If you are in Saranda try this amazing experience... Blue Eye 👁 was a magical place ( cold , blurred water) Butrint National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Albanian’s most important archeological sites. Lekursi Castle offers you a panoramic view from above the city
