Una curiosità geologica, la grotta è un vecchio tunnel di lava oggi pieno di acqua dolce grazie alle numerose sorgenti naturali della zona, è vietato nuotare ma l'acqua fresca e dolce è così rinfrescante che pochi polinesiani possono resistere a un tuffo rinfrescante nella piscina, l'acqua gocciola dal soffitto tutto l'anno ma le nostre acque sono così pure che non ci sono stalattiti o stalagmiti. Cook e Gauguin hanno entrambi visitato la grotta, un'altra opportunità per un po' di shopping è offerta nell'outlet artns n craft, sono disponibili bagni
Visita uno dei luoghi sacri usati dai polinesiani per adorare i loro dei, a Tahiti la maggior parte di questi siti furono distrutti o trascurati dopo che i polinesiani si convertirono al cristianesimo, questo marae è stato ricostruito ma molti credono ancora nel potere di questi siti e dei Tiki che vi si trovano; sono disponibili bagni
In un tour di un giorno intero c'è tempo per visitare il sito di una delle onde più pericolose del pianeta, il sito della competizione di surf delle Olimpiadi del 2024, puoi anche prendere un taxi boat per raggiungere l'onda a un costo aggiuntivo, ci sono bar e servizi igienici

An excellent private full day tour for 2. Lydia is as informative and interesting a tour guide as any we have ever had. Couple that with the beautiful island, and this is a wonderful tour.
We booked this half day tour via our hotel, we selected it as it specified a small group. Lydia picked us up from the hotel in her comfortable vehicle. There were just two others on the trip which gave us plenty of space. Lydia was very informative about the history, local traditions, flora etc. We saw some great places. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tahiti. Thanks for a great afternoon.
We had sunshine and Lydia, both wonderful. Our tour was a full day and we visited traditional religious sights, beautiful gardens and amazing waterfalls. While the surf was not up we did get to imagine Olympic surfing. Lunch of local food and viewing points high above the clouds. Lydia provided us with safe travel, current and past history and all done in a fun informative way. Highly reccommend

We traveled with group of ten Both drivers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the island . We travelled with our elderly parents. They are very sincerely friendly and extremely careful helping us to assists our parents up and down the vans. Our family really appreciated their kindness. The tour is great , on time. They pick us up at the airport 5 hours tours and drop us off at the pier for our cruise. Everything just great. Thank you again.

My sister and I had the most AMAZING full day tour with Lydia. She picked us up from our hotel in her blue van (very comfortable!). We told her we most wanted to see the Wave at Teahupoo, and so she gave us some options for the tour route tailored to our interests. We started out through Papeete, and drove around the island, stopping at several great viewpoints and a beautiful waterfall along the way. Lydia is very knowledgeable about Tahitian history and culture, and she tied the information to our stops around the island. She has a map of Tahiti that she references and uses to explain things visually. We were so glad we did this tour at the start of our trip! We ate lunch at a "snack" (restaurant/cafe) near Teahupoo (you are responsible for paying for lunch, but Lydia has recommendations and can help you order) - we had burgers and fish sandwiches, and they were delicious. Next, Lydia helped us to secure a taxi out to the wave at Teahupoo - this is an optional part of the tour, but I highly recommend. We paid our own taxi fare; it was around $25 (2500cfp) per person. After a great boat trip to experience Teahupoo, we met back with Lydia and continued our way around the other side of Tahiti, where we stopped at the beautiful Water Gardens (and tried breadfruit chips!) and Maraa Grotto, a lava tube cave. We were so glad we were able to book a full-day tour, but even a half-day would have been worth it to have Lydia show us the island and teach us about Tahiti and its people! Communication with Lydia was very easy over Whatsapp, we had no problems contacting her about pickup location or letting her know if there were specific things we wanted to see! For reference, my sister and I are 22 & 25, and from the US. Lydia is originally from England, so we had no language barrier. She also speaks great French and is respected by the locals, so there were no issues with travel or accessing any of the tour locations. We had the best experience and I HIGHLY recommend you book your Tahiti tour with Lydia!!
