Il Grand Palace è un complesso di edifici nel cuore di Bangkok, in Thailandia. Il palazzo è stato la residenza ufficiale dei re del Siam (e poi della Thailandia) dal 1782. Il re, la sua corte e il suo governo reale erano basati sul terreno del palazzo fino al 1925.
Il tempio è il primo nella lista dei sei templi in Thailandia, classificato come il grado più alto dei templi reali di prima classe, ed è associato al re Rama I che ricostruì il complesso del tempio su un precedente sito del tempio. Divenne il suo tempio principale ed è qui che sono custodite alcune delle sue ceneri.
Wat Arun è tra i più noti dei punti di riferimento della Thailandia. La prima luce del mattino si riflette sulla superficie del tempio con iridescenze perlacee. Sebbene il tempio esistesse almeno dal XVII secolo, le sue caratteristiche prang (guglie) furono costruite all'inizio del XIX secolo durante il regno del re Rama II.

Il Buddha d'oro, ufficialmente intitolato Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon, comunemente noto in thailandese come Phra Sukhothai Traimit, è una statua dorata di Buddharupa seduta Maravijaya Attitude, con un peso di 5,5 tonnellate (5.500 chilogrammi). Si trova nel tempio di Wat Traimit, Bangkok, Thailandia. Ad un certo punto della sua storia la statua fu ricoperta da uno strato di stucco e vetri colorati per celare il suo vero valore, e rimase in queste condizioni per quasi 200 anni, finendo in quella che allora era una pagoda di minore importanza. Durante il trasferimento della statua nel 1955, l'intonaco fu scheggiato e l'oro fu scoperto.
Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram è un tempio buddista (wat) nel distretto di Dusit di Bangkok, in Thailandia. Conosciuto anche come il tempio di marmo, è uno dei templi più famosi di Bangkok e un'importante attrazione turistica. Rappresenta lo stile ornato di Bangkok di alti timpani, tetti a gradini ed elaborati terminali. [

We did Book weeks in advance with Big Country Experience a private Full day Tour in Bangkok for 3 persons Our creditcard was debited on December 28th. Late afternoon on December 30th. we received via Mail and WhatsApp a cancelation from the tour operator and GetYourGuide. The tour was booked for the following day. Reason for cancelation: no driver and guide available. As they had already debited our creditcard. and we are leaving Bangkok on January 2nd, we asked for an alternative : no reply from te operator nor from GetYourGuide!!! We reached out again to tell the operator that we were traveling with our 82year old mom and that it was very unlikely for her to return to Bangkok. We informed the operator that we had especially booked the short trip to Bangkok before traveling to Vietnam to show mom the city, Royal Palace and other landmarks. Still no reply or alternative provided. We finally managed to book in the hotel the exact same tour with TUI. On December 31st GetYourGuide sent us a mail explaining that the operator had to cancel the booking as many locations were closed to the public that day. Just one big lie as we did visit these locations with a different operator. Please do not book with this company if you want to be sure that you receive the service you have paid for in advance
Thank you O and Anan for the most unforgettable tour in Bangkok. We were a group of 9 and were only in Bangkok for 48 hours. We did a customized tour with airport pick up and drop off. We also visited the three largest temples in Bangkok on Day 1 and Day 2. We did the floating market and the train market. She also got us local food, coconut ice cream and sweet tangerine. She was absolutely amazing and would totally recommend asking for O as your tour guide.
