Partendo dai nostri uffici situati a soli 3 minuti di auto dal più nuovo e imponente progetto di riqualificazione urbana di Madrid, che collega, in una zona pedonale completamente chiusa al traffico con piste ciclabili dedicate, Plaza de Espana con il Senato, Palazzo Reale, Plaza del Oriente, Royal Opera House e Cattedrale dell'Almudena, proseguiamo su piste ciclabili fino a Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Museo del Prado e Parco del Retiro e molti altri siti storici. Pedalando attraverso il centro storico della città puoi ammirare alcune gemme fuori dai sentieri battuti e grandi pezzi di arte di strada. Il Palazzo Reale sorge sul sito dell'ex Alcázar di Madrid, una fortezza medievale trasformata in un sontuoso palazzo da Juan II, Carlos V e Felipe II che nel 1561 ne fece la residenza ufficiale della monarchia spagnola. L'Alcázar fu distrutto da un incendio la vigilia di Natale del 1734. Felipe V decise allora di creare un nuovo palazzo reale su questo sito, impiegando il miglior architetto in Europa all'epoca, Filippo Juvarra. Quando Juvarra morì nel 1736, il suo allievo Giambattista Sacchetti apportò varie modifiche al suo grandioso progetto. Con una superficie di oltre 125 ettari e più di 15.000 alberi, il Parco del Retiro è un'oasi verde nel cuore della città. In esso troverai tutti i tipi di monumenti e giardini interessanti, tra cui i Jardines de Cecilio Rodríguez (giardini classici di ispirazione andalusa), il roseto Rosaleda e il Parterre Francés, che ospita una conifera messicana di quasi 400 anni ed è ritenuto l'albero più antico di Madrid. Oltre al suo ruolo di polmone verde della città, è anche un luogo popolare tra i madrileni che amano andare a passeggiare, fare sport, visitare una mostra o portare i bambini a uno spettacolo di marionette. This tour was great, learned a lot about Madrid and kept us active during our trip. We also had a very knowledgeable guide.
We had an exceptional experience on this bike tour, and it was largely thanks to our incredible guide. His knowledge of Madrid's history and culture was impressive. Every stop came with fascinating stories and context you'd never get exploring on your own. What really set him apart was his sense of humor; he put a funny spin on everything, keeping the whole group laughing while we learned. The perfect mix of educational and entertaining. If you're visiting Madrid, don't miss this tour. Highly recommend! He also took amazing photos of us along the way, added bonus.
Fantastic e-bike tour by David (Alejandro). He is a wonderful guide, and makes the stops interesting with his stories and info. There's a lot of stops/starts trying to navigate around the crowds and on/off the bikes at the major intersections. There are a couple sections of the tour where you can fly along without disruption, like through the central park by the Prado, but the tour route doesn't lend itself to much of this. There are plenty of stops, we never felt winded or tired, and the e-bikes make it easy to ride - anyone can do it. If you're pedaling hard - you've missed the ON/OFF button on the bike :) This is a great way to see the central sights in Madrid!
Thank you, Chris, for your detailed review of Bravo Bike's Madrid highlight cycle tour. On our itinerary, you will see the most important sites and different districts and parks, with many stops that make time fly. Our top Trek e-bikes make it much easier to ride in a busy city. We also recommend our Parks and river tour, where people can cycle longer stretches without traffic, enjoying nature and visiting places you probably would never reach on foot. The E-bike assistance may switch off at certain stops. The E-bikes are heavy, and without switching on the on-bottom, the 3-H tour might become a bit too strenuous. We had a great few hours riding and learning about the culture and history of Madrid. Alessandro is a great guide and had many stories to tell that make the tour interesting and fun. The meeting point location is easy to find, about a 20 minute walk from where we were staying. The tour gave a great feel for the city

Our guide, Remi, was excellent. Although not a native of Madrid, he knew the city, history, and bike routes very well. In our three hour tour, we saw a great number of sites. It was a fairly hot day, but Remi kept us in the shade most of the time. We were in the Centro but we were mostly on bike friendly streets and paths, very little biking on streets with cars. A highlight was the Retire Park. Biking is the best way to see this large and beautiful park. The e-bikes were very good, easy to use and had sufficient power to get around. Highly recommend this company and Remi in particular.
This was a fabulous bike tour of Madrid! Please do this if you want to see all the main sights and get lots of interesting information. Even on a hot day the biking was easy and stops were always in a shady spot. Our guide was Gomi and I can honestly say he is one of the best guides we have ever had! Thank you for a brilliant 3 hours. My husband was very sad when the tour ended!!
Ismael is a knowledgeable and personable guide. He guided us through a myriad of alleys, parkways and streets with confidence, always checking to keep the group together. The tour operator, Bravo Bikes, provided well conditioned bikes and gave us the option of e- bike or normal. A really fun tour!

I was the only rider for the day but Alvaro still took me out for the full 3 hour day. I’m so glad he did. He’s very knowledgeable about the city and its history. We stopped frequently as he explained what I was seeing. It seemed we rode everywhere in the city and though we rode along with traffic sometimes I never felt uncomfortable. I loved the tour and would highly recommend a different way to see the city.
