Itinerario
Il nostro viaggio ci porta attraverso Walvis Bay, zone umide lagunari dove si possono vedere migliaia di fenicotteri rosa, oltre l'enorme miniera di sale che raccoglie 100.000 tonnellate al mese, a sud lungo la spiaggia fino a Sandwich Harbour dove la cintura delle dune incontra il mare. Osserva le onde scolpire le dune durante l'alta marea, dove a volte diventa impossibile entrare in questa zona bellissima e remota. Facciamo un giro sulle dune sulle montagne russe fino al punto panoramico con assoluta sorpresa per vedere i panorami mozzafiato e la tranquilla atmosfera del deserto. L'immenso mare di sabbia, le dune, hanno quel tipo di magia speciale...assolutamente unica. Le nostre guide esperte ti parleranno della zona desertica e ti condurranno abilmente nei posti migliori. Guida sulle dune intrise di adrenalina, alla ricerca di animali in questa zona desolata, scopri come le piante e gli animali si sono evoluti per vivere nel deserto. Assolutamente fantastico, tutto. Il nostro tour ci porta attraverso la convenzione di Ramsar, le zone umide lagune di Walvisbay dove si possono vedere fino a 250.000 e 54 specie di uccelli: pellicani, fenicotteri, pivieri, piovanelli e altri uccelli endemici. Abbassiamo la pressione dei pneumatici e discutiamo dei molti uccelli

Pick up da qualsiasi Hotel, Pensione o Bed & Breakfast lungo la costa tra Swakopmund e Walfishbay pick up anche a Walvisbay Harbor e Aeroporto. Si prega di avvisare gli orari di arrivo. In un tour pomeridiano veniamo a prendervi anche dopo l'altra vostra attività, come la crociera con foca in catamarano o dopo il kayak. Iniziamo a Swakopmund .e pick up a Walvisbay 30 minuti più tardi di quanto pubblicizzato. Si prega di prendere nota di tutti i passeggeri delle navi da crociera. Siamo in piedi nel porto dopo il primo cancello con un Gazebo che ha il nostro logo. Si prega di notare che la vostra guida sarà anche in piedi con un cartellone. Si prega di notare a tutti i passeggeri Cruise Liner, l'orario di prelievo del tour inizia un'ora dopo aver attraccato. Il tour partirà al più tardi un'ora e mezza dopo l'orario di prelievo. Have you ever seen the Top Gear episode where Clarkson races May and Hammond along the Namibian beach, squeezed between the sea and towering dunes? Well, if you have, you’ll know exactly what our dune-busting tour involved today! Forget flamingos, salt pans and pelicans — let’s get down to the exciting stuff. Volker, our ex-military guide, regaled us with his wonderfully ‘African’ anecdotes, many of which were decidedly not PC… which, of course, made us love him even more! It was a seriously fun afternoon of bouncing, sliding and tearing across the dunes. Exactly the kind of adventure we’d hoped for! The reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating was due to organisational issues that kept us waiting for over an hour and half.

Very nice tour, unique landscape, good organization. Guide Andrew had a lot of interesting information and stories, even about individual details off the actual tour. Only drawback, sometimes up to 10 cars in one place.

I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone hoping to experience the breathtaking views of Sandwich Harbour. Riaan was an incredible guide; funny, personable, and extremely welcoming. We had an unforgettable time on the Sandwich Harbour dune tour with Victor. He’s very knowledgeable on the area and Namibia generally, and he’s very skilled at safely driving on the sand. Don’t pass up the opportunity to experience a wild ride on the sand dunes.

It was a super tour and we were shown a lot. The start was a bit bumpy, as others from Get Your Guide were told a later time and we had to wait longer. Otherwise, there were 5 of us plus the driver. It was definitely cheaper than with Aida and with fewer fellow travelers, which was great. Since there are no restrooms on this tour, it would be nice to be told that at the beginning and to be shown appropriate options before driving into the countryside where this is no longer possible. The picnic was also cute; my idea here would be a fruit buffet and not "just" so much meat. That is no longer up to date and was also not eaten. Too bad.
