Le cascate Sezibwa si trovano a 32 km lungo l'autostrada Kampala-Jinja. È uno dei tesori culturali nascosti dell'Uganda con una parte di proprietà del Regno di Buganda e un'altra della Chiesa anglicana dell'Uganda. ... Le cascate Sezibwa sono alte 7 metri con uno splendido scenario per il relax e il divertimento mentre gli uccelli cantano sugli alberi.
La foresta di Mabira è una foresta pluviale che copre circa 300 chilometri quadrati in Uganda, situata nel distretto di Buikwe, tra Lugazi e Jinja. È stata protetta come Riserva forestale di Mabira dal 1932. Ospita molte specie in via di estinzione come il primate Lophocebus ugandae. Sarai in grado di fare una breve escursione a Mabira dove potrai vedere scimmie e anche diverse specie di uccelli.
Il fiume Nilo è il fiume più lungo dell'Africa con il lago Vittoria come fonte. Il fiume inizia il suo viaggio di 6.500 km verso il Mar Mediterraneo (Egitto) accanto alla città di Jinja (Uganda) e detiene la diga di Owen Falls la fonte di energia idroelettrica per l'Uganda con un'altra diga attualmente in costruzione. Visiting Jinja was absolutely a highlight of my trip to Uganda. The nile is so massive and to actually have a boat ride on the nile is something I can not easily forget. We saw many many birds and two big monitor lizards! It's really cool to see where to source of the Nile is. The boatman could tell us a lot about the history of the Nile, the birds and about Jinja city. Our accommodation was top notch, right at the Nile with an amazing sunset. Loved every bit of this trip!
