La piazza centrale di Atene è dominata dal Parlamento greco (ex Palazzo Reale) e caratterizzata dall’alto livello di energia creato dal costante movimento di persone attraverso gli incroci più trafficati della città.
Per più di tre quarti di secolo questo è stato il quartiere più esclusivo del centro città; grazie alle sue boutique all'avanguardia, agli eleganti caffè all'aperto e ai ristoranti gourmet, è qui che la bella gente della capitale si incontra, mangia e fa acquisti.
Proprio nel cuore di Atene si trova questo quartiere politicamente carico, famoso per le sue idee sociali progressiste e per le dozzine di taverne, bar e snack-shop a prezzi accessibili pieni di studenti universitari dei vicini istituti scolastici.
Per lungo tempo un quartiere in cui gli artigiani locali lavoravano in piccoli negozi, Psirri è ora uno dei nuovi locali più alla moda della città per mangiare e bere la sera. È anche uno dei posti migliori per ammirare le ultime opere di street art della città.

This tour is a very good way to orient you to the city of Athens and its neighborhoods. Elizabeth gave us a lot of insights into both past and present of the city.
Fun and informative. Simos is an excellent guide and shared insights and perspectives into today’s Greece. I enjoyed our walking tour of various neighborhoods in Athens and hearing about their contribution to the city’s development. CMOS was attentive to the requests and questions of participants and worked hard to accommodate all our needs. I definitely recommend this tour.

This was one of the best tours we have ever been on….the weather today was cloudy, chilly and windy but our guide, Nicholas, made us not think about that!!! Our tour lasted over 4 hours and we visited areas that we would never have seen on our own….highly recommend booking this tour if given the opportunity!!!!
This tour was a great high level overview to understand how Greece got to be in the position it is in today. We visited parts of the inner city we probably wouldn't have on our first visit to Athens - some of it a bit posh, and other parts more confronting - and this made it interesting. Andreas is an excellent guide. He takes the time to explain things clearly and answer questions. He is very passionate about the subject matter and his country. We enjoyed this experience and it helped us to see Athens through a different lens. I recommend this tour.
