Our guide, Doru, made our day just perfect. For one, I always worry about getting car sick on these day tours in a car. He is the best driver I’ve ever experienced - even through all the Paris traffic. He knew a lot of history to share with us along the way and it was very comfortable being with him for the day. He took great care of us! I would highly recommend! Worth the extra money to avoid being in a group that navigates slower.
Doru was absolutely wonderful! We ended up being the only ones, and we so enjoyed the entire day. His knowledge is unmatched, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the gardens, home, and grab some lunch. Loved Giverny. 🩵
Our guide, Duro, arrived early, had clearly done his research, shared many fun facts, and could not have been more accommodating. The extensive, breathtaking gardens were in full, glorious bloom with waterlilies popping up under the classic Monet bridge. Monet’s home was filled with his artwork and brightly decorated furniture and rooms. A true joy to check this off the bucket list.
Thank you so much, Jean, for your kind words! It was a real pleasure spending the day with you in Giverny. I’m delighted that you enjoyed Monet’s beautiful gardens at their peak bloom and that the experience met your expectations. Thank you for mentioning the guiding and storytelling aspects of the tour. I always try to make the journey as enjoyable as the destination itself. Wishing you many more wonderful travels, and I hope to welcome you back to France someday! Best regards, Doru
Doru was a fantastic guide he was extremely knowledgeable about the history not only of the Giverny and Monet, but the history of Pairs. Also a really lovely person and very interesting to talk to. Doru helped us with activities for the rest of our stay, which was very generous. I would highly recommend this company one of the best we have had on this trip.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review and kind words! Sharing history, stories and special places with travelers like you is exactly why I love doing these tours. I’m very happy you enjoyed the experience and that I could help make your stay in France memorable 😊 Hope to see you again someday! Warm regards, Doru
Our driver and guide, Doru, texted us the day prior to the tour date to confirm our pickup place and time. He arrived a few minutes early so we were on our way quickly, to Giverny about 1.5 hours from Paris. Doru was a superb and friendly guide who is extremely knowledgeable and insightful in many topics including both French and world history, and of course the world of the Impresssionists. Doru was also accompanied by Stella, a photographer, and between our conversations with both, we were immersed in glimpses of life in France. The Monet House & Garden visit at Giverny was a wonderful experience, especially at the garden walk in full bloom. With the house tour, you could imagine Monet and his family living a simpler life and enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. There were a number of restaurants along Rue Claude Monet to have a leisurely lunch. While it was a bit busy since our tour day was May 1, a national holiday, our overall experience was highly informative and memorable!
Thank you so much for this beautiful and thoughtful review! It was truly a pleasure sharing Giverny, Monet’s world and a little piece of France with you. Stella and I are very happy you enjoyed both the visit and the conversations during the journey 😊 Reviews like yours mean a lot to small local tour companies like ours and we are deeply grateful for your kind words. We hope to welcome you again in France someday! Warm regards, Doru
Our guide Doru was very knowledgeable and provided a very nice tour. The gardens were spectacular and we enjoyed the quaint village of Giverny. I would recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for your kind review! It was a pleasure showing you the beauty of Giverny, Monet’s gardens, and the charming village. I’m very happy you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the experience. Thank you for recommending it, and I hope to welcome you again on another visit to France!
Definitely worth the drive. The gardens were beautiful. His home had lots of paintings to view. One of my favorites is the girl with the umbrella. He had 2! Unfinished ones in his home studio
Thank you for your lovely review! I’m so happy you enjoyed the trip to Giverny and Monet’s beautiful home and gardens. It was a pleasure spending the day with you. Hope to see you again in France someday!
Our driver Doru was fantastic! He was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on the drive - he was so knowledgeable on history and buildings it was like a driving tour of Paris! He also showed us all around the town of Giverney and gave recommendations on where to eat lunch. We got skip the line tickets, I do recommend going in the morning as the actual gardens got significantly more crowded as the day went on. He picked us up when we were ready, no rush. I (46) was traveling with my 80 year old parents. I highly recommend this experience! It was perfect for them. He was also a safe driver and the car was comfortable and he was early picking us up in the morning.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. It was a real pleasure helping make your trip comfortable and enjoyable. I’m especially happy you appreciated the historical commentary during the drive and the recommendations in Giverny. Making the day smooth, informative, and stress-free is always my goal. Thank you again for your trust, and I hope to welcome you back for another memorable day in France!
It is a very pleasant journey as it’s only 3 of us for this trip. Mr Doru our tour guide and also a driver is very knowledgable, humorous and friendly. He is patiently waiting for us and we did not feel it was hurried to finish our tour. He was also happily answering and tried to explain our queries. It was indeed an enjoyable day trip to a beautiful Giverny Village. Giverny village & monet garden is beautiful & highly recommend to visit. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure spending the day with you in Giverny. I’m really happy you enjoyed both the visit and the relaxed pace of the tour — that’s exactly the experience I aim to create. Giverny is indeed a special place, and I’m glad we could explore it together without rushing. I hope to welcome you again on another trip in France! Warm regards, Doru
I am writing this on behalf of my 11year old daughter for her Bronze Arts Award. When I entered Monets garden, I was immediately surrounded by beautiful flowers. It was a beautiful hot day and there was benches to sit in the shade and places to explore. The garden is really big and full to the brim with flowers. After exploring the first part of the garden which was more formally laid out in rows, we entered the house. The house is a pretty pink colour with dark green shutters. When you enter the house, you enter a small room full of his paintings. It’s a cosy, comfy room. It has a creative atmosphere. After you leave this room you can wander around the rest of the house. Each room has a colour theme. My favourite room was the kitchen. I really liked the brass cookware and beautiful blue tiles. The kitchen felt much calmer than the rest of the house. I really enjoyed visiting Monets house as it looked like his actual house not a museum. After visiting the house, we walked to the pond and the famous bridge. It was very busy and full of other visitors. The pond with water lilies was so nice to see as you can picture Monet sitting there painting. There weren’t many lillys in September but there was still some. My favourite part was the little streams dotted around the garden. Overall, I loved visiting Monets garden. I feel inspired to paint outdoors “en plein air” like Monet.
