Fai un tour in kayak e canoa di 2-3 ore attraverso la storica palude di Manchac. Un naturalista locale della Louisiana ti guida attraverso la storica palude di Manchac spiegando informazioni storiche e l'ecosistema nativo. Itinerario
Puoi essere prelevato allo storico mercato di St. Roch, proprio fuori dal quartiere francese, oppure guidare per un breve tragitto di 30 minuti fino al luogo del tour. Il gruppo si riunirà al punto di partenza del viaggio e verrà tenuta una conferenza introduttiva sul kayak nella palude. Entrerai quindi nel tuo kayak e seguirai la guida attraverso la scenografica Manchac Swamp, un bayou che si muove lentamente che un tempo ospitava la città fantasma distrutta di Ruddock, LA e fungeva da via di passaggio per gli storici esploratori di New Orleans; Iberville, Biennville e altro ancora. Lungo il percorso verranno effettuate delle soste e la guida ti insegnerà la storia e la fauna selvatica della palude. La durata del tour è di 2-3 ore a seconda dell'esperienza di kayak del gruppo. Una volta tornato al sito di lancio ti unirai al resto del gruppo per essere trasportato di nuovo in città. Se esci tu stesso, puoi partire non appena ritorni al sito di lancio.

Kayaking on Manchac is magical. The calm of the water, the quiet of the surroundings, watching wildlife in its element was a treasure. We had a smaller alligator within about 2-3 feet from our canoes, completely unfazed by our presence. Our guide, AJ, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive throughout our tour. It was nice to step away from the bustle of the city and surround ourselves in the wetlands.
The guide was very knowledgeable, we learned so much. The day was a very fun adventure. I would recommend.
Absolutely beautiful day on the bayou, with AJ who was an awesome experienced and local guide. He spotted many gators and birds and plants for us, and shared so much information on the local history. Highly recommend!
Quiet walk with layas in the swamp. The truth being so “intimate”, meaning small boats, we thought it would be more entertaining. We only got to see two lizards and nothing else. They didn't give us much information during the experience either.

Gerald was an amazing guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and also local so knew all the lore and ghost stories of the Louisiana Bayou.

Odd leaving a review because we got thunder/lightening stormed out and it was cancelled. I can not say enough about the communication and thought for our wellbeing that went into the decision to cancel. I highly respect the people running this tour. Our money was returned within an hour. We will try again next time in NOLA.
