The guide Alex was great, super kind and showed us a lot of animals. Respected the wildlife. 10/10.
If you're looking for a relaxing outdoor activity, this is a great choice. The tour lasts about two hours, giving you enough time to enjoy the scenery without feeling tired. Every part of the trip felt well organized, from the equipment to the pace set by the guide. The mangroves are full of life. We saw monkeys moving through the trees, several species of herons, and many other birds. Jose was friendly, entertaining, and always willing to answer questions about the plants and animals we encountered. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring nature with a local expert.
Exploring the mangroves after sunset was unlike anything we've done before. As darkness settled in, the entire environment changed. Birds rested quietly in the branches while snakes became active, hunting along the trees and vegetation. Watching these natural behaviors in the wild was fascinating. Jose's experience really made the difference. He had an incredible eye for spotting wildlife that we would have completely missed on our own, and his explanations made every sighting even more interesting. If you enjoy wildlife photography or simply want to experience the mangroves from a completely different perspective, this night tour is absolutely worth it.
Alex was a fantastic guide! We saw a raccoon, 2x boas, viper, baby croc, cayman and a troupe of capuchins that jumped on the boat!
Our tour guide Alex was amazing! He was so knowledgable, kind, and funny, and showed us so many animals. Had a great time, would recommend for all!
Alex was really awesome, communicating well, showing is animals and other information. At the end of the your he was really nice to give us all cold water bottle, cut watermelon and pineapple. Highly recommend him. He also showed is a very rare venomous snake which is very hard to find.
Alex was our tour on the macha mangroves tour. He was absolutely brilliant, really informative with each animal and plants/trees. Very friendly and answered everybody’s question. He spoke really good English and was good at giving advice at kayaking! Really recommend this tour
We had a really enjoyable time exploring the mangroves by kayak. It was amazing to see so much wildlife in its natural habitat, and the peaceful surroundings made the experience even more special. There are a few sections where you have to paddle against the current, so it can be a bit tiring, but it also makes the tour feel more rewarding. Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio who wants to experience nature up close. 10/10!
Our guide Alex showed us the mangrove with the kayak. I can 100% recommend this! Alex is a very passionate guide with a lot of knowledge about the mangroves and the animals. Besides this very fluent in English. We’ve seen monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, bats, spiders, birds and some more fantastic special creatures. An idyllic experience to enjoy nature!
Jeancarlos was our guide for this 2 hour kayak adventure. He was great at spotting wildlife in the trees that we would have missed. A family of capuchins were very close by and Jeancarlos was very responsible, encouraging us to stay quiet and not attempt to interact (unlike some of the boat tour operators). We saw lots of lizards, birds and snakes too. Jeancarlos even emailed us some of the pictures he took (he had a much better camera) and sent these at no charge. Just an all round great guy. Thanks 👍😊😎
