Attraverseremo la Piazza dedicata al famosissimo navigatore Afonso de Albuquerque, del quale potremo ammirare una statua.
Avremo modo di provare i famosissimi Pastéis de Belém. I dolci più buoni del Portogallo all'interno della pasticceria che li sforna con la ricetta originale e segreta dal 1837.
Visiteremo la bellissima chiesa di Santa Maria di Belém annessa al Monastero dei Gerolamini.
Avremo modo di contemplare il gioiello dello Stile Manuelino, il Monastero dei Gerolamini. Costruito nel 1502 per celebrare il ritorno dalle Indie di Vasco da Gama.
Vedremo il monumento alle scoperte e scopriremo quali furono i personaggi più importanti che portarono il Portogallo a creare un'enorme impero coloniale.
Ci troveremo davanti alla famosissima Torre di Belém. Scopriremo la funzione che aveva in origine e parleremo anche di Ulisse, il primo rinoceronte ad aver mai messo piede in Europa!

We participated in this tour with guide Sara. The tour was well organized in times and movements. The guide, prepared and very helpful in giving also practical information about the city, was able to keep the attention high alternating the explanation of monuments and places with anecdotes and curiosities that made this experience even more enjoyable.
A morning visit to Belem. Daniele accompanied us and guided us through the history of this part of the city making us passionate about stories and places even with a pinch of irony. The boys were also fascinated and broke away from the mobile screen. The places are absolutely worth visiting with a person who can tell their stories as well as admire their beauties. Personally, therefore, absolutely recommended!
The guide, Daniele, was immediately punctual and nice. It made the tour interesting and lively. He transferred us all the detailed info to experience the local culture. Very prepared, never trivial.
