Il tempio si trova al centro dell'isolotto sul lago artificiale di Villa Borghese. A quel tempo, infatti, venivano realizzate riproduzioni di antichi templi e statue come elemento decorativo del paesaggio. Goditi al massimo questo angolo romantico a Villa Borghese noleggiando una barca a remi!
L'inventore Giovan Battista Embriaco costruì questo idrocronometro (noto anche come orologio ad acqua) nel 1867 e lo espose all'Esposizione Universale di Parigi del 1867. Nel 1873 l'idrocronometro fu collocato nei giardini di Villa Borghese in una fontana progettata dall'architetto Gioacchino Ersoch. L'orologio ad acqua funziona 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7.

We completely enjoyed the bike tour with Giorgio. He was patient, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and spoke perfect English (he also does tours in Italian, French and Spanish). We ended up getting a private tour as there were no other guests (I thought the minimum for the group tour was 4, so we really lucked out to have Giorgio and a private tour). We had a few bumps in the trip, which Giorgio handled with grace. First, there was an international meeting being held in a building on the route, and the normal tour route needed to be adjusted. Second, one of our bikes got a flat tire. Giorgio gave his bike to my husband and rode the bike with the flat tire. Third, while my husband was riding Giorgio's bike, Giorgio's back pack fell off the bike, and it wasn'tniticed until we stopped for him to share some information with us. Giorgio had to retrace our route to retrieve it. Thank you for a wonderful day!

Our guide, Manfredi, was THE best possible for us. He was very thoughtful for our needs and extremely knowledgeable of the sights we were seeing! He took as many pictures of us as we wanted. Our safety was a prime concern of his as he would explain our path to us if we were going near traffic areas. Another person in addition to Manfredi helped get our bikes prepared for us and he was very polite and helpful. Overall, we were very pleased with the bike tour and would recommend it to anyone desiring such an adventure!
