Amazing experience with a great guide and to a beautiful place, recommend 100%!
For some this experience will be easy, others it’ll be more physically demanding. For me, it felt great to get on a bike and explore the city and surrounding areas in a new way. Loved the food, guides, and, of course, the special trees. I recommend it!
We signed up for this ride with our two boys, 12 and 10 years old. Homero, the owner, immediately reached out to confirm that the boys had enough experience to handle the 35 km ride. We appreciated this honesty about how long/challenging the ride would be! He also invited us to stop by the store beforehand to make sure that he had bikes that would fit each of us (they did!). The tour itself was an awesome way to escape the city for a half day and enjoy the nearby nature. There were a couple challenging portions, but our guides were patient if we needed a break, or had to walk the bike for a moment up a wide dirt path. We loved the lunch/snakes by the reservoir and the Árbol del Tule. Both guides offered interesting facts about the local government and Oaxacan customs along the way. Highly recommend!
The guide and itinerary were great. Only issue was chains kept popping off our bikes! Scenery was beautiful and riding as advertised.
This bike tour was terrific—honestly, it might have been one of our favorite things we did while visiting Oaxaca. It was a great way to get out of the city and see more of the surrounding area. Our guide, Xenon, was wonderful. He had a well-planned route and shared interesting information about the places we visited, as well as the local culture and customs. The small group—just us and one other couple—made the tour feel nice and personal. One of the highlights was the rocky, uphill ride to the reservoir. It wasn’t easy, so be ready for a bit of a workout. But once we got there, we had the whole place to ourselves—it was peaceful and beautiful. The ride back down to town was fast and so much fun. We were definitely tired by the end, but it was absolutely worth it.
Excellent tour and great to explore on a bike! The spot for lunch near the lake is amazing and we were even lucky enough to catch a local parade on the way to the Tule tree. We learned loads from our guide who was super knowledgeable, relaxed, and never made us feel rushed. If you want to learn about Zapotec village life in a more off the beaten path tour, we can highly recommend.
Good tour. Good guides since to get to Santa Maria El Tule you have to leave the city. The road to Santo Domingo Tomaltepec is very fun, you arrive at the town dam Recommended
Just book it! This was the best experience seeing other towns and riding through the most beautiful scenery. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable! 10/10!
The bike trip to Tule tree was great. Our tour guide ( Leon) was both knowledgeable and helpful throughout. after the interesting visit to Tule tree we rode up to the reservoir and once cooled and hydrated returned back through Tule tree I would recommend this tour. His assistant was very helpful and made sure everyone was safe
A fun, but tiring day mountain biking in the countryside. We enjoyed our guide and his assistant as they led us through the streets of Oaxaca and out to the countryside. We enjoyed an authentic breakfast at a small reservoir. Coming from sea level comma the altitude was apparent when we were climbing the hills on the dirt roads. The Tule Tree was interesting and the town was charming. The bikes were decent but gearing seemed to be an issue with most of them.
