Itinerario

We had a blast during the "Appian Way And Aqueducts Electric Bike Tour" guided by Adriana. She took us on a trip that was the perfect balance between sightseeing, adventure and historic information. As a historian, there was no question she could not answer (while giving an interesting and fun twist to it). She also guided us perfectly through the traffic of Rome. This was our favorite activity of our trip!
This was an excellent way to see, and learn about, Rome. Our guide, Adriana, was outstanding! She had a great sense of humor and was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Rome. Not only did we see beautiful sites but we learned more about the history of the city and sites we visited than we could have got touring on our own. The bikes worked great, having e-bikes for the trip ensures you can cover lots of ground with minimal effort. Good to be comfortable riding in a bit of traffic as you leave the city but 90% of the time is on pathways. Would highly recommend this tour and really enjoyed a break from the crowded core of the tourist center while seeing many historic features. After the ride we took the recommendation of the bike shop and enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the restaurant next door. Two thumbs up for this tour – far more enjoyable than a bus!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Adriana made the experience special for you. She has a great way of mixing history, good humor, and local insight, and she’ll be very happy to know you appreciated it. It’s great to hear the e‑bikes helped you cover so much ground comfortably. You described the route perfectly — a little bit of city traffic at the start, then quiet paths and open spaces where you can really enjoy the ride and the history around you. We’re also happy you liked the lunch recommendation next door. It’s always nice to finish the tour with a good meal. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. It truly means a lot to us.
Our guide Alannah Adriana was simply wonderful. A history expert and excellent bike tour guide. The trip was 3 to 4 hours and she kept us safe and sound on the ancient roads of Rome. The tour is full of beautiful sights as you ride back into the history of Rome. Water is the key to life and prosperity back then and now, with the roads to expand an entire empire. Our e-bike were like new and preformed very well on all the terrains we explored. At the end of the tour their is Gelato right next door. Travel on my friends. Scott
Thank you so much, Scott, for your wonderful review. Alannah — who is right here with me as I’m writing this — asked me to thank you personally. She says it’s always a real pleasure to guide people who truly love history and enjoy discovering Rome in such an authentic way. I completely agree with you: Adriana is wonderful, and we’re lucky to have guides who put so much passion and care into every tour. We’re also very happy to hear that the e‑bikes and the whole experience made your ride smooth, safe, and memorable. It was a joy having you with us. We hope your travels bring you back to Rome someday — there’s always another beautiful road waiting. Travel on, my friend.
Super fun and good E-bike tour highlights Tour through the center! The E-Bike tour was really good and our guide, Adriana, was very knowledgeable and knew a lot about the history of Rome. She could tell that well and fascinatingly. We cycled through many nice and sometimes busy alleys which made it even more attractive. She also asked in advance what our preference was or what we were going to see, so she adjusted her route accordingly. And it was really enjoyable for us. Adriana and the tour are highly recommended! The e-bikes were of good quality and really very nice! Thanks Adriana

Fabulous day exploring the ancient Roman aqueducts. There was a mix up with scheduling our guide but Marat came quickly and the owner graciously provided coffee and sweets while we waited and threw in a visit to the Catacomb, which was super interesting. Our guide was filed with so many facts about history, music and no question was too small. He really wanted to share his expertise. What others should know that is not in the description is the paths ridden include bike trails, roads, gravel paths but also areas that some previous experience with mountain biking to navigate uneven terrain that has rocks, roots and crevices. We had a good time although I would suggest the guide should carry a small basic first aid kit as one did have a bit of an accident where the kindness of strangers assisted.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We’re delighted that you enjoyed exploring the ancient aqueducts and that Marat was able to guide you with passion, knowledge, and genuine care. He truly loves sharing Rome’s history, music, and hidden stories, and your kind words mean a lot to him and to our whole team. We sincerely appreciate your understanding regarding the initial scheduling mix‑up. We always aim to provide a smooth experience, and we’re glad that the wait was comfortable and that the Catacombs visit added something special to your day. Your feedback about the terrain is extremely valuable. The Appian Way includes a mix of paved paths, gravel, and sections with rocks and roots — and your description will certainly help future guests understand what to expect. We also appreciate your suggestion about carrying a small first‑aid kit; it’s a very good point, and we are already working on implementing it to ensure even greater safety on our tours.
Monica was such a pleasure! She knew so much history and did a wonderful job, and made me feel comfortable on the bike! She even took great pictures for us! Lean into using the turbo setting in the bike, it's really helpful. My husband who is reluctant to do anything was having the time of his life 5 minutes in. Please make time to do this!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that Monica made your experience so enjoyable. She has a real gift for combining history, comfort, and fun — and we love knowing she helped you feel confident on the bike and captured great photos along the way. Your note about the turbo setting made us smile; it really does make the ride even more enjoyable. And we’re especially happy to hear that your husband ended up having such a great time so quickly. Thank you again for recommending the experience so warmly. We hope to welcome you both back to Rome for another fantastic ride!
This bike shop is great. They have good bikes for rent as well. The guys in the shop are extremely helpful. The tour by Adriana is truly amazing. She tailors the trip for your preferences. Her knowledge of history was outstanding and her passion for it shines through. The lunch we had was also spectactular! It was one of our favorite and most memorable parts of our trip to Italy.
