Piazza Navona è una delle piazze più famose di Roma, costruita dalla famiglia Pamphili. La sua forma è quella di un antico stadio: fu costruito in stile monumentale per volere di papa Innocenzo X.
Visiteremo i resti dello Stadio Domiziano (patrimonio Unesco) che si trovano sotto Piazza Navona a circa 4,50 metri sopra il livello stradale; l'area archeologica è ciò che rimane del primo e unico esempio di stadio in muratura finora conosciuto a Roma.
Il Pantheon è un edificio dell'antica Roma situato nel rione Pigna nel centro storico, costruito come tempio dedicato a tutte le divinità passate, presenti e future. Fu fondata nel 27 a.C. da Arpinate Marco Vipsanio Agrippa, genero di Augusto.
La Fontana di Trevi è una delle fontane più famose al mondo e un vero capolavoro di arte barocca. Progettato da Nicola Salvi e completato da Giuseppe Pannini nel 1762, rappresenta Oceanus, il dio del mare, in sella a un carro a forma di conchiglia trainato da cavallucci marini. La tradizione vuole che gettare una moneta nella fontana garantisca un ritorno a Roma.
A pochi passi dalla Fontana di Trevi, oltre nove metri sotto l'odierno livello stradale, le indagini archeologiche effettuate tra il 1999 e il 2001 durante la ristrutturazione di un cinema hanno portato alla luce un grande complesso residenziale antico. Il termine “Città dell'Acqua”, comunemente usato per definire l'area archeologica di Vicus Caprarius, è però dovuto all'elemento che indubbiamente caratterizza maggiormente il sito. Nel II secolo d.C. in una parte del complesso edilizio fu realizzato un grande serbatoio d'acqua, probabilmente utilizzato fino al VI secolo d.C.

Buyer beware. This was such a bad tour that I am still considering asking for our money back. Guide was not very informative, not fun, and not a single special moment on the trip. No communication from company before tour, other than asking if we could change the day and time. They didn’t pick up the phone when we couldn’t find them at the meeting place, despite three people working for company and only four guests. We waited before going into the pantheon for three other groups to join us-isn’t that against basic small group tour etiquette? We gave the night Segway tour and Rome street food tour 5 stars, do yourself a favor and choose these instead. My son is still complaining about this two days later. This is my worst experience on a paid tour ever.

The guide assigned to your tour is a licensed professional guide who consistently receives excellent feedback from our guests for both knowledge and engagement. Having the tour with only 4 participants is not simply a small group experience, but almost a private one. In addition, for the Pantheon portion only, 5 extra participants joined for approximately one hour, still keeping the group under 10 participants in total. All guests were equipped with headsets, ensuring clear audio and continuous explanations from the guide throughout the experience. Regarding communication and assistance, our team was fully available by phone, message, and email before the tour. Furthermore, besides the guide, a separate staff member was also present at the meeting point dedicated to the check-in process for your group. While we fully respect your personal impression of the tour, we are disappointed to learn that the experience left such a negative feeling, as this is certainly not the level of experience we aim to provide. This tour is a MUST. My guide was so knowledgable and professional and was so kind to give me a recommendation for a local handmade leather store, which I ended up getting my big duffel bag I was looking for! I took myself to Italy for my birthday and I highly recommend this tour. The history of Rome is just insanely interesting to me that all these thousands of years later the remnants of the city are still there, and people with iPhones and lip filler are living above layers of literal history.

Meeting place was changed 12 minutes prior to the start and we missed the text. We then tried to contact the guide to attempt to meet at the second venue but after numerous attempts and no contact from the guide we missed the whole tour. We are requesting a refund. The tour company, not Viator, said that the meeting place had not changed and was always at the Pantheon, yet their guide contacted us that there was a change - very disappointed and frustrated.
