Javed was our driver guide for a private tour to the north including Port Louis and the botanical garden. It was a day and money well spent!! Javed is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the island and all the many questions we had. He is such an open, kind and good-natured person and went above and beyond to show us all we wanted. We had a great day! We would recommend this tour with Javed any time! The guided group tour to the south couldn’t compare in the experience and the things we learned and discovered with Javed. Thank you, Javed for a great day!!!

We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary so we treated ourselves to several private tours. We went on Unfading Traditions, Stroll in the Past, Rum and Coffee private tours, and had a driver for two days for a bespoke programme to the North and then the South West of the island including Le Morne, as well as two smoothly executed transfers. Vasant was our driver guide for most of the trips and we would highly recommend him as a very knowledgable, friendly and expert guide. The tour reps Natalie and Guilmette at the hotel were very helpful and accomodating in meeting our requests. Our highlights included the Coffee Plantation, Chamarel Rhumerie, Bois Cherie and Chateau de Labourdonnais.

Mautourco have an alliance with Virgin Atlantic Holidays (VAH), so when we booked our airport transfers with VAH it was Mautourco that picked us up. Although we were delayed, they were there when we arrived and efficiently took us off to our holiday hotel. What I did not realise at the time was VAH’s holiday rep on the island was also a Mautourco employee, and fundamentally this review focusses on the role that this delightful lady (Hema) played in our unfolding story. Hema came to see us the day after we arrived to welcome us and establish if we wanted to book any excursions, which we did as stated in this review. The tour was excellent, and our tour guide Deepak (like the driver who transported us from the airport) are very well informed about the island and its history. The tours are all inclusive, so visits to places of interest are included in the price. However, Mt Trump decided to intervene in our holiday and started bombing Iran, causing air traffic to become disrupted and as a consequence our return flights were cancelled by Emirates. Hema became our lifeline to resolving how we were going to proceed with returning home. She assisted us in negotiating with the hotel an extension to our stay This gave us time to consider options with regards a return flight. Information from VAH was scant, but Hema kept us informed as best she could and ensured that we were ok through constant messages. Eventually Emirates came back with a return flight option, although through Dubai (still a conflict zone) and not back to our originating airport. We decided to take this. The day before we returned Hema came to the hotel to say goodbye and wish us a safe journey, hence the focus on her in this review.

Thanks to Steeve who gave us a lot of information with dynamism and good humor. He's a great guide. The new outfit is top, it will be perfect with white sneakers!!!. I think Steeve will remember us and especially Philippe!!!

We had the pleasure of spending a full day touring with Raggoo, and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. His knowledge of the island is truly impeccable – he had an answer for every question we asked and brought each stop to life with fascinating detail, especially during our visit to the botanical garden, which was a real highlight. He made us feel comfortable throughout the day and was flexible to our needs whenever required, ensuring the tour flowed perfectly for us. We went on a honeymoon with our daughter to the Beachcomber Cannonier Hotel in the north of the island where we were received by Avila (Manager Mautourco) whom we would like to thank for his kindness, his smile full of sun and his availability. We made 2 excursions: - Cultural tour Port Louis (private guide) / We made this tour accompanied by Vinesh whom we thank so much for his professionalism, culture and kindness. We were able to discover in a less touristic way and very well advised these highlights of the north of the island. - Due West / This catamaran trip to discover the dolphins and the Île aux Bentitiers was incredible. We had a super friendly and helpful crew that we also thank for this day. Although we could see the dolphins, a small negative on the place too touristic. You will understand, we recommend Mautourco with your eyes closed. The RENAULT family

We made two excursions, both very rich and interesting. We had an excellent guide, Sebastian, who we recommend with great pleasure! He explained the history of the island, the customs of Mauritians, we even talked about gastronomy! He showed us as much as possible, was very available and was keen to share his passion for his island. He didn’t count his time and preferred to come home later rather than give up taking us to unhappy cape. A big thank you Sébastien for these two very rich days and wonderful memories!

The note is for one thing only, our wonderful driver and guide, Sunil RAGOO. It is a well of knowledge that does not just drop you off during the excursions sold by the hotel, it accompanies you and explains to you with seriousness, humor and a lot of heart the history of its island I’ll know on the fingertips. He made us discover the real Mauritius, especially at the market and in the surroundings by leaving the tourist paths: Dahl Puri, roti, pineapple tamarind sauce. Happiness!!! Do not hesitate to ask this driver for your excursions and more specifically for the grapefruit garden. Palm trees will have no secrets for you. Bottle palm, royal palm, passenger palm, millionaire palm, bamboo palm and other trees and aromatic plants, we have become ungluable! Thank you Sunil (RAGOO) for these two days with you.

This was our 2nd trip with Mautourco and we asked if we could have Eddy again and they obliged. We went to botanical gardens, sugar world tour, st Louis city visit, church at Notre dame auxiliatrice de cap malheureux. Absolutely fantastic day again and we could not praise Eddy any higher. His English, knowledge and patience has made our Mauritius visit truly unforgettable. Thankyou Eddy.
