Itinerario

It was a highlight of our trip to Spain. I highly recommend Mariluz, who toured with us in Segovia, and Jesus (Toledo).
Thank you very much for your great review! It makes me very happy ! I wish all of you the best. A big hug from Madrid! Mariluz
We took a leap of faith (not completely since we did quite a bit of research before committing) and booked private excursions for our 20th anniversary trip on 2 separate days. We were hosted on both days by Mariluz who guided us on our full day tour of Toledo and also on a separate half day tour of the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. Mariluz was a very engaging host with deep knowledge of art and history and she very successfully illustrated a very visual and memorable timeline of events and monuments that we saw to tell a very compelling story that we really appreciated. Above and beyond the tours, Mariluz was also very helpful with suggestions on the other parts of our trip including reserving for us an amazing restaurant in Toledo with breathtaking views. After a lot or research we settled on Madrid Travel Private Tours because the tours are done by the owner operators so we figured that they would care about our experience. We're very happy that we were proven right!
Dear Tommy, I have been very busy these days and I am sorry that I was not able to respond to you earlier. I am really grateful for such a GREAT review . I feel so happy when I realize that I have. in a certain way, helped my customers to create a great experience during their vacations. Thank you very much for having relied on us! I wish you both all the best! A huge hug from Madrid, :) Mariluz
Mariluz was an amazing guide for our family of six, spanning a wide range of ages. She is extremely knowledgeable about history, culture, and art, and she knew exactly which highlights to show us to keep everyone engaged. I especially appreciated how she pointed out small details in the monuments and artworks that I would have completely missed on my own. The experience was truly memorable. She also arranged all transportation and meals during our visit, making the entire trip seamless and stress-free. We also did a full-day tour of Segovia and Ávila with Mariluz, and once again, she did not disappoint. She knew exactly how much time to spend at each site and explained the significance and history of the monuments in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. I highly recommend touring with Mariluz—my only regret is not booking a Prado Museum tour with her as well!
Dear Catie, Thank you so much for your great review! I am happy to know that you really enjoyed our time together. It was MY pleasure to be your guide on both tours. I wish you and your family all the best in this New Year! Mariluz Gutiérrez

We spent two unforgettable days with Jacky from Madrid Travel Private Tours—first exploring Madrid on the Essential Madrid half-day tour, then venturing to Toledo for a full-day adventure. Jacky is the perfect combination of knowledgeable, engaging, and intuitive. She knew exactly how to pace both days, balancing history, culture, and local flavor. In Toledo, she guided us against the flow of tourists, which made the experience feel intimate and unhurried, and she seamlessly adapted the route to include places of special interest to us in the Jewish Quarter. Beyond the sightseeing, Jacky shared wonderful food recommendations in both cities and introduced us to some of her personal favorites—each one a gem. If you want a tour that feels personal, polished, and genuinely fun, look no further than Jacky and Madrid Travel Private Tours.

This tour had all the hallmarks of a great tour- communication was excellent from the very beginning, it was adjusted to suit our needs and interests, and both the driver and guide were friendly, highly professional and made sure we really enjoyed ourselves. Mariluz our wonderful guide, is very knowledgeable and has excellent communication skills. The sights she showed us in Toledo were incredible and she helped us find a wonderful restaurant for a delicious and authentic Spanish lunch. Mariluz made sure that the pace of the tour suited our needs. Thank you Mariluz for ensuring we had a memorable day.
Dear Gerardine, Believe me, it was my pleasure!! Thank you very much for your nice review. It is great to meet people like you. My best regards, Mariluz Gutiérrez
On May 23, we enjoyed an extraordinary private tour of Madrid guided by the charming Mariluz. It was an enriching, comfortable and perfectly organized experience. We traveled as a family — my mother and brothers — and having a private vehicle during the first hours of the tour made all the difference: we were able to discover emblematic points such as the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the Triangle of Art and Gran Via without rushes or crowds. Mariluz gave us a deep look at the evolution of Madrid from its origins as a medieval town to the vibrant capital it is today. His passion for the city is contagious, and his knowledge impeccable. After the panoramic tour, we walked through the historic center, where Mariluz, neighbor of the neighborhood for more than 20 years, revealed both the classics and the lesser-known corners with genuine enthusiasm. We visited the majestic Royal Palace, enjoyed a break on a lovely terrace, and in the afternoon closed with a golden clasp at the Prado Museum. Without a doubt, this tour not only taught us Madrid, but made us feel part of it. As the saying goes: “You can leave Madrid, but Madrid will never leave you.”
Overall the experience was wonderful. Although it was in an auto - we took the train it was comfortable and fast. Once in Toledo, we went at a good pace, learned a great deal about the city and saw all the relevant sites. At the end we were given ample time for lunch before a comfortable return journey. Couple of minor points - if you agree to be picked up at your hotel, the taxi to the train station needs to be paid by you. Additionally you do stop to do some shopping. Neither of these things bothered us and could be easily discussed.
Thank you very much for your review! It was a pleasure to be the guide of your lovely family in Toledo and I'm happy that you enjoyed your experience. I'm sorry if it wasn't clear to you that train tours depart from the train station and any alternative meeting point involves an extra cost. In reference to the stop for shopping, I included the ceramic workshop because it's a unique 12th-century cave with local craftsmanship and I consider it of cultural interest and worth visiting, but of course, as you saw, there is absolutely no obligation or pressure to make any purchase. My best, Jackie.
The weather was not on our side but Toledo shone through! Absolutely enjoyed the tour. & would highly recommend it. Fascinating history.
ThanK you so much Ananda! We really appreciate it. We are so happy to welcome customers coming from Australia, which is so far away! Happy birthday week! Mariluz Gutiérrez
