Piazza Duomo offre una vista mozzafiato, soprattutto al tramonto, quando i raggi del sole illuminano i marmi policromi degli edifici del complesso religioso cittadino: il Battistero, la Cattedrale e il Campanile di Giotto. Con la nostra Guida certificata, avrai la possibilità di ammirare i magnifici mosaici bizantini sulla volta all’interno del Battistero, mentre all’esterno potrai vedere il capolavoro di Lorenzo Ghiberti, la porta est del Battistero, comunemente chiamata “Porta del Paradiso”. Il prossimo passo del tuo viaggio ti rivelerà la maestosa Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, il Duomo. Tappa finale del tour sarà il Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, dove si potranno ammirare inestimabili opere del patrimonio artistico. Scegliendo l’opzione corrispondente, avrete la possibilità di salire sul Campanile di Giotto.

La piazza del Duomo offre una vista mozzafiato, soprattutto al tramonto, quando i raggi del sole 'illuminano' i marmi policromi degli edifici che formano il complesso religioso della città: il Battistero, la Cattedrale e il Campanile di Giotto. Infatti l'omogeneità cromatica (verde, bianco e rosso) armonizza magnificamente una varietà stilistica.
La Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, situata a Firenze, è uno dei capolavori più famosi dell'architettura gotica e rinascimentale. La sua costruzione iniziò nel 1296, su progetto di Arnolfo di Cambio, e fu completata nel 1436 con la maestosa cupola di Filippo Brunelleschi, una notevole innovazione ingegneristica. Caratterizzata da una facciata di marmo bianco, verde e rosa, la cattedrale è rinomata per le sue dimensioni impressionanti e gli intricati dettagli decorativi. Completano il magnifico complesso il Campanile di Giotto, adiacente alla chiesa, e il Battistero di San Giovanni, con le famose Porte del Paradiso di Lorenzo Ghiberti. L'interno, relativamente sobrio rispetto all'esterno, ospita opere di artisti come Paolo Uccello e Donatello. La cupola, con i famosi affreschi del Giudizio Universale di Giorgio Vasari e Federico Zuccari, domina lo skyline di Firenze e rimane una delle meraviglie architettoniche più ammirate al mondo.

Il Campanile di Giotto a Firenze è uno splendido esempio di architettura gotica, che sorge accanto alla Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. Progettata da Giotto di Bondone nel 1334, fu completata nel 1359 da Andrea Pisano e Francesco Talenti. La torre alta 84 metri è decorata con marmo bianco, verde e rosa, armonizzandosi con la facciata della cattedrale. Presenta intricati motivi geometrici, rilievi scultorei e splendide statue, molte delle quali sono ora conservate nel Museo dell’Opera del Duomo. I visitatori possono salire i suoi 414 gradini per godere di una vista panoramica mozzafiato su Firenze, rendendola uno dei punti di riferimento più iconici della città. Visita il Campanile di Giotto (se l'opzione è selezionata) Si informano i clienti che il Campanile di Giotto rimarrà chiuso dal 10 al 14 novembre.

Eva was great! A native of Florence, she is VERY knowledgeable, friendly, funny and down to earth. It was more of a chat rather than non-stop talking like most guides do. She was great with my 14-year old daughter as well as her 68 year-old dad, me!

Knowledgeable guide gave us a thorough tour. I would skip the bell tower climb if I went again. The wire mesh makes it difficult to get any good photos. Looks to be the same for the dome climb as well. There was some confusion over the admission lines, but our guide handled it for us.

Unfortunately this tour did not work out for us. Once our guide Sylvia arrived - she was 10 minutes late - she was accommodating to helping us check our backpack & find a toilet. After that, I was not impressed with crowd or long line control. There was no “skip the line” with a private tour guide to get into see the Duomo and the line was very long. We ended up going to the Bell Tower first, then the museum. The Baptistry was under construction so nothing to really see via the main sight. Upon returning to the Duomo line - it continued to be long. Sylvia told us out tickets are good for 3 days so we decided to call it done & visit on our own. Nothing bad to say about our guide - just the entire process of getting in & touring was not easy or pleasant. There are other smaller museums & collections to view. Go enjoy them

Regarding the visit itself, please note that access to the Cathedral is managed directly by the administration of the complex, and during busy periods, lines may form even for ticket holders. The ticket used for this tour includes priority access to the various monuments of the complex; however, all visitors are still required to go through mandatory security checks, which can sometimes cause brief delays. We are pleased to know that the guide remained patient and did her best to make the experience as enjoyable as possible despite the circumstances. We sincerely hope that, despite the crowds and the ongoing restoration works, you were still able to appreciate the beauty and history of Florence’s Cathedral complex. Great take - Had a great guide. On the negative side 1) Email sent us pre-tour on a wild goose chase to pick up tickets (wasn’t necessary because guide had them). 2) Assumed we were getting “skip line tix” which were faster than regular tix but still 45 minute wait…
