Visiteremo The Zaanse Schans, un affascinante villaggio storico di conservazione pieno di case tradizionali e mulini a vento iconici. Avrai l'opportunità di esplorare i mulini a vento, guardare gli zoccoli che vengono realizzati e goderti una deliziosa esperienza di degustazione di formaggi. Successivamente, ci dirigeremo al Keukenhof, il giardino primaverile più bello del mondo! I giardini sono aperti dal 20 marzo all'11 maggio 2025 e ospitano circa 7 milioni di fiori primaverili, tra cui tulipani, narcisi, giacinti e crochi. Tieni presente che i fiori non sbocciano tutti contemporaneamente, quindi la visualizzazione può variare durante la stagione.

Verrai prelevato dal tuo hotel ad Amsterdam.
Arriviamo allo Zaanse Schans. Questo è un villaggio preservato con una varietà di case storiche, magazzini e mulini a vento industriali funzionanti. Ti sembra di viaggiare indietro nel tempo! Sperimenterai come era la vita tra il XVIII e il XIX secolo. Ci godremo una piacevole passeggiata passando per le vecchie case in legno con i loro dettagli originali conservati, come porte cerimoniali e architravi intagliati, degusteremo il cioccolato locale presso la cioccolateria, concludendo con una visita a un mulino a vento funzionante.
Al caseificio di Henry Willig faremo una degustazione di formaggi Gouda ed Edam. Sono tra i primi 10 produttori di formaggio al mondo. Se sei un amante del formaggio... sei nel paradiso del formaggio! Hanno 30 gusti e progettano i formaggi appositamente per i viaggi.
Dimostrazione di lavorazione delle scarpe in legno. Hai sempre desiderato sapere come viene realizzato uno zoccolo? Partecipa alla dimostrazione dell'artigianato delle scarpe in legno e scoprilo. Nel museo degli zoccoli ti racconteremo tutto sugli zoccoli. Puoi anche provare o acquistare un paio di scarpe di legno!
Una visita all'ultimo stabilimento di vernici al mondo “De Kat”. Fu costruito originariamente nel 1781. Si tratta di un mulino ottagonale con calotta rotante e galleria esterna. Dopo il restauro e la parziale ricostruzione del 1960 è stato attrezzato per la macinazione di materiali coloranti come pigmenti. Dopo una spiegazione su come funziona il mulino a vento, hai l'opportunità di salire sul mulino e scattare bellissime foto sulla galleria esterna.

Visita il giardino primaverile più bello del mondo! Trascorreremo due ore qui per ammirare tutti i fiori primaverili. Pranzo incluso.

Had an awesome day visiting windmills and viewing tulips with Esther! She had great insight into how windmills work and millers operate, being a miller’s daughter herself (hence Windmill Girl!). She also knew all the best photo spots and took great photos! Super friendly and generous, too, with great taste in music. We had a super fun day with her!

Incredible trip! Esther was fun, friendly and informative. Loved the local knowledge and ties to the area. Early in flower season she made sure we saw as much as possible, just one among many efforts made to see that we had an exceptional day. Our guide’s name was Esther and she is a native of Nederland and actually grew up in a working windmill that her parents still own and operate today. Bring a local means that she has additional information and unique perspectives to share as you go from place to place. We did the windmill and tulip tour. It was March 21st so just a bit too early to see the tulips in bloom. We did still see fields of yellow daffodils which were pretty, but the tour was quite expensive and we were a bit disappointed that the tulip farm didn’t offer a “low season” rate or at least throw in lunch or something. I would definitely recommend hiring Esther as your guide, but if you’re going to see the tulips, she tells us that mid-April until end of May is the best time to go.

The Keukenhof gardens are only open for seven weeks a year, and it all depends on Mother Nature what will be in bloom during that time.
