La tua prima tappa è un negozio specializzato in bakkwa, carne a scatti, grigliata lentamente sul carbone con la stessa ricetta segreta tramandata da generazioni. Passeggia un po 'di più oltre i vari piccole bancarelle che vendono una pletora di frutta tropicale, tra cui il re dei frutti, Durian, oltre a pesce fresco e prodotti quotidiani.
Prosegui verso un centro ambulante ed esplora la miriade di bancarelle di cibo prima di assaggiare la "torta di carote" o Char Keow Teow. Riscalda il tuo appetito con questo famoso contorno che utilizza gli ingredienti più semplici. Il tuo piatto principale della giornata è al primo chiosco Michelin a livello della strada.
Concediti il piatto d'autore della bancarella, il riso al pollo con salsa di soia: morbido pollo marinato tenero con riso bianco e arachidi. This tour gives you an insight into Chinatown with a nice feed along- the way. I was very lucky to have a very knowledgeable & informative tour guide by the name of Carol who made me feel welcome just like old friends catching up. Great little activity for evening in Singapore. Our guide took us to one of the less well known hawker centres and ordered food for us that I wouldn’t ordinarily have picked myself- he was knowledgeable and friendly. Do note that a large part of the tour is about the history of Singapore rather than food as such (title of tour maybe a little misleading!) but I enjoyed it none the less

This tour was a ton of fun! We visited a few restaurants, stores, and stalls all within a short distance of Chinatown station, ate some classic dishes and some delicious fruits too. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the culinary history of Singapore.

Alfred was a great guide providing lots of information on Singapore and the food but also having fun along the way. There were 5 on our tour which was a great number and we all enjoyed the food, info and company. Don’t eat before as plenty of food on the night.

Our guide was informative, entertaining and kept us laughing in between food stops. Only three total guests and we all were impressed, and quite full by the end. Even went extra by taking us underground to the subway station. Highly recommend.
