I enjoyed the safari, I was lucky enough to see the lions in a very close distance and the most of the other animals. It was a great experience and I think it was a great value for money. My guide, George, was very nice and provided a lot of info and the vehicle was very good choice.
Our guide, Stephen, was an independent guide, meaning he didn't work directly for Ulysses. Very knowledgeable, young guy, open to answering our questions about life in So Africa. The reserve was amazing!! The animals were so close to the car - zebra, ostrich, vultures, rhinos with babies, wild dogs, cheetah and 2 kinds of lions! We waited for feeding time - yikes - not to be missed if you want to have a feeling of being on the Discovery channel. We didn't have time to go on a safari, so this was a very satisfying substitution. The picture on this website for the tour is of a tiger which is not in the park.
Loved the experience. Lucky, our guide was pleasant throughout. Thank you for a lovely day out! I would recommend it to all my friends... 🤎🤎🤎🖤🖤🖤
A fun and engaging tour. The tour guide was on time and very entertaining. We got to see springbok, zebra, wildebeest, lions, white lions, wild dogs, etc. We were feeling a little despondent because we hadn't seen a rhinoceros and then just as we were making our way out of the park it came to wish us farewell. An all together fabulous morning.
Everything about this day was fantastic. Steven was on time and very friendly and chatty. He also knew when to just let us catch up-since my friend and I re-United after a few years, so we had a lot to talk about. The tour was so well arranged-we didn’t have to do anything except enjoy ourselves! I will definitely book more experiences with you! Well worth every cent!
Hello, thank you for the message and kind words; I will make sure the guide Stephen, gets a copy as well.
Stephen was the BEST tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals & the park itself. We had a very fun small group & were able to see many different types of animals. Stephen provided us with extra perks like the Lion & Wild dog feedings and the Wonder Mine. The Wonder Mine was an unexpected occurance I didn’t know I had been missing! It was beautiful and unreal. Everything about the day was great; from the giraffe and Springbok, to the baby warthogs (so adorable) and the wildebeest! Every single part of this trip was nothing short of amazing! Thank you Stephen for your warm smile and knowledge of the park, animals, & Jozi in general. I will definitely share your info with my travel group! I wish you much success in the future - you truly, truly deserve it!
Well organised trip. The driver was very informative and we saw almost all the animals in the park. It's quite close to Johannesburg so time at the park is maximised. Would highly recommend this if you are short on time in Johannesburg and can't get out to one of the bigger parks. The advantage of this smaller reserve is that there is more chance to see the animals!
Due to time, we had a personal tour of this amazing park. There are tons of animals (except elephants) and can snap several close up pictures. We went after feeding time so many of the animals were close to the road. The only downside was the lions were full and sleeping.... tee hee. It was a magnificent experience to see these animals that are well cared for yet are able to live in their natural habitat. This is not Kruger where you spend days driving around to find herds of animals in their wildlife. It is a preserve (with ample space for the animals to run and chase each other freely) but magnificent. There is a decent coffee shop overlooking the hippo pond.
