It was a good experience. Very eye opening. We had a great driver named Lucky. He was very informative.
Hi Anthony thank you for sharing your amazing review, we really appreciate it.
The museum itself was interesting, confirming and quite moving. Unfortunately our ‘guide’ thought it was a good idea to leave us to it, because it was ‘self explanatory’ leaving us confused about where to go next and walking out of the museum trying to find him when he missed the meeting time. When I complained, he led us back in and did guide us the rest of the way around.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.Our tours are guided although the apartheid museum is self guided to give clients time to go through everything at their own pace.
Great way to spend a free afternoon in Johannesburg after our flight landed. Our guide, Thabiso, was friendly and informative. The Apartheid Museum was even better than expected. Feel like we saw a lot in just 4 hours!
Thank you for taking time to review our tour, we really appreciate it. We looking forward to seeing you again.
What a wonderful way to conclude our time here in Johannesburg. Tobisu — I am sure I am spelling that incorrectly — whose name beautifully means “happiness” in his native language, was truly a ten out of ten. He has absolutely found his calling in life and should continue giving tours for many years to come. He possesses a rare gift — the ability to captivate any audience. He could speak to the most distinguished individuals and leave them in complete awe. His presence carries a warmth and energy that you feel immediately upon meeting him. The history and knowledge he shared about Africa, apartheid, Johannesburg, Soweto, and other significant historical moments unfolded before us like a motion picture. He did not simply present facts; he told a story that allowed us to see, feel, and understand the past in a deeply meaningful way. No material possession — no clothes, money, or food — could compare to the wealth of knowledge and perspective we gained on this tour. It was priceless. We hope to stay in touch with him for a lifetime and feel truly honored to have met him. If you are booking this tour, be sure to ask for him. He is simply the best.
