In general terms, the experience was good. However, we were left with a negative feeling due to a bad fall I suffered before the tour of the dam. We were concerned to find that neither the boat, nor the transfer bus, nor the restaurant where we had lunch had a complete first aid kit. Furthermore, we did not perceive attentive support or genuine interest from the guide regarding what happened. Nor was it explained to us how to use the "medical assistance card active throughout the experience," nor were we told what coverage or support it offered in a situation like this. Finally, they transported us back to the hotel, but we had to seek medical assistance on our own, despite being in a foreign country. We believe that, in the event of an accident during an organized activity, there should be a clear care protocol, access to first aid, and adequate support until the affected person receives the necessary medical assessment. We share this observation respectfully, but also firmly, as we believe it is essential to review and improve safety and emergency response protocols to prevent other travelers from going through a similar situation.
