Un viaggio attraverso i sapori di Verona e la cucina italiana con la tua guida locale, in inglese o in italiano. Partiamo da un negozio di specialità gastronomiche per assaggiare una selezione di prosciutti e formaggi stagionati accompagnati da patè di verdure. Poiché le olive crescono ampiamente nella zona, ci fermeremo al negozio del frantoio locale per provare una bruschetta e per imparare tutto su di essa. La prossima tappa, assaggeremo 3 iconici cioccolatini italiani e scopriremo di più su come sono fatti. Verona è famosa per i suoi vini rossi della Valpolicella. Faremo una pausa nella sala degustazione di Saibante, un'azienda vinicola che produce meno di 15.000 bottiglie all'anno. Non solo assaggeremo, ma scopriremo i segreti della sua realizzazione. Mentre attraversiamo il centro storico di Verona UNESCO, le guide condivideranno storie sulla storia, le tradizioni e la cultura della città. L'ultima tappa sarà nel negozio di famiglia che dal 1909 produce il Pandoro, il dolce più famoso di Verona. Vieni affamato, entusiasta di imparare cose nuove e pronto ad esplorare i sapori di Verona.

La nostra prima tappa sarà nella zona di Castelvecchio, presso una salumeria locale per assaggiare una selezione di prosciutti, formaggi e patè di verdure siciliani.
Dopo una breve passeggiata per le pittoresche vie di Verona, ci fermeremo al negozio del frantoio Redoro. Il Lago di Garda mantiene il clima perfetto per coltivare le olive, quindi goditi una bruschetta con questo oro liquido e 2 patè.
Verona è famosa per i suoi vini della Valpolicella dove si trova la cantina Corte Saibante. Producono meno di 10.000 bottiglie all'anno mantenendo un'alta qualità. Ci fermeremo nella loro sala di degustazione vicino all'Arena dove un sommelier spiegherà e servirà 2 degustazioni di Valpolicella
Passeremo per Piazza Erbe per fermarci al negozio di famiglia che produce e vende il Pandoro, il dolce più famoso di Verona. Vieni affamato e pronto ad esplorare i sapori di Verona!
Il tour non si fermerà alla Casa di Giulietta ma passeremo nelle vicinanze. La casa veniva utilizzata come hotel ai tempi di Dickens.

This was a wonderful way to experience Verona and our guide was knowledgable and friendly. I particularly enjoyed learning about olive oil, and all the local specialities.

Manuela was a wonderful guide who shared insights about Verona and its food culture. We visited small shops with food/drink/sweets specific to Verona and the region. We especially appreciated that even though the tour did not fill up ( only the two of us + Manuela), he did not cancel for whatever reason, as so often happens. We highly recommend the tour. We are not used to good wine and after three glasses we were high... anyway in the end it went well and we all went home happy

Our guide, Leonardo was fantastic! It was only my wife and me on the tour but that didn’t throw him. Leonardo was very knowledgable about Verona and the food and wine from the area. While there were not as many tastings as other tours we’ve taken, we learned a lot about the items and how they fit into Verona’s food history. The walk around town was also very informative. We really felt coming away from the tour that we certainly got our money’s worth and spent a few very pleasant hours learning about Verona.

This was not as good as other food walks I've taken in other cities, but it was fun. Our first stop, an olive oil tasting on bruschetta, was not informative at all, but the oils were interesting and different. The candy stop was an intense rapid overload of sugar with hardly any information. Our cake stop wasn't a stop, it was a pick-up and eat in the street, again, with no information. Our final stop we actually learned a bit about the two wines, but nothing more about the meats and cheeses than their straightforward descriptions. As we walked through Verona our guide pointed out a few historical points of interest. While we had a very good time with our guide and the other guests, the food choices didn't thrill us.

Disappointed by an underwhelming tour. I've been on a few food tours in Italy, they are usually filled with interesting stories and inspiring food. Our guy was lovely but spoke quickly and didn't make it a memorable experience, no fun stories to make Verona or the food come alive. We basically had some toast with olive oil, a few sweets, a cake, and some wine and unremarkable cheese and salami. I was underwhelmed.
