Questo gigantesco mercato è vivace! Esplora i suoi tre piani pieni di panorami, suoni e aromi seducenti. Preparati a un sovraccarico sensoriale di artigianato colorato, prodotti freschi e deliziosi stand gastronomici, un'esperienza completamente immersiva di coinvolgimento con la comunità locale di Guadalajara. C'è un'infinita varietà di souvenir e oggetti artigianali e possiamo prenderci tutto il tempo necessario per trovare gli oggetti perfetti. Come parte dell’esperienza culinaria proveremo: 1. Tortas ahogadas: un panino di carnitas di maiale affogato con salsa di pomodoro. 2. Tacos de barbacoa: manzo marinato a cottura lenta, servito in tacos alla griglia. 3. Tejuino: bevanda fredda a base di mais fermentato. 4. Caramelle artigianali e/o frutta di stagione. Per risparmiarti il fastidio di dover trattare con la valuta locale, dare la mancia alla dogana e fare il resto, il cibo al mercato è già incluso. Tutte le preferenze dietetiche sono ponderate!
Durante il nostro viaggio dal mercato al ristorante birria, trascorreremo 1 ora esplorando i simboli e i tesori architettonici di Guadalajara. Tra i luoghi da non perdere il maestoso Teatro Degollado, la storica Founders Plaza, la prima Missione Francescana della città, il grande Palacio de Gobierno e la splendida Cattedrale del XVI secolo con le sue vivaci piazze circostanti. Diego was an awesome guide and the perfect person to introduce us to Guadalajara. His passion for the city shines through in every stop, from its history and architecture to its incredible food scene. The food was amazing, and Diego's connections with the local food market outlets made the experience feel really authentic. He's friendly, engaging, and happy to answer any question you throw at him. It was great to share some drinks together too as we watch a game of the FIFA World Cup. One tip: come hungry, but pace yourself, there's a lot of delicious food along the way! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Guadalajara.

This is the best food tour I have experienced. My husband and I have traveled a lot and frequently start with a walking and/or food tour and have always had fun but hands down the knowledge, expertise, desire to support local economies and friendliness that we experienced on Diego’s tour was out of this world!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Diego learning all about Guadalajara and sampling its delicious dishes. Diego is super engaging and really knows his stuff - he is knowledgeable about his city, its rich history and architecture as well as its food culture. He is on a first-name basis with the friendly teams at the specialty restaurants we visited (he’s been going to many of the places on the tour since he was a kid). A word of advice - pace yourself during the tour. There are so many delicious things to try, you’ll want to save room for them all!

This food tour was a highlight of my time in Guadalajara. Everything was well organized and authentic, and the food was outstanding from start to finish. We visited local spots I never would have found on my own and learned so much about the city’s food and culture along the way.
