Goditi i deliziosi sapori del Belgio in questo tour gastronomico gratuito, dove un'Esperta Guida locale ti porterà in giro per Gand per provare le specialità locali e raccontarti la storia dietro il loro gusto. I numerosi campioni sono inclusi e il tour è basato sulle mance, quindi non dimenticate di portare denaro contante per premiare la Guida se vi è piaciuto! Per quanto riguarda la birra, riceverete un buono per una birra gratuita al birrificio GRUUT, che potrete gustare a vostro piacimento dopo il tour, oppure vi porteremo al birrificio stesso. Questo dipende dagli orari di apertura del birrificio.

Ci incontriamo all'Hostel Upperlink per una breve introduzione alla nostra cultura gastronomica, seguita da un assaggio delle migliori patatine fritte della città al Frituur Tartaar. Una volta che la nostra guida ti racconterà la storia delle patatine fritte, non le chiamerai mai più patatine fritte!
Prossima tappa Ooost, il centro regionale per i prodotti locali, per parlarvi del famoso prosciutto Ganda e darvi un assaggio di una deliziosa caramella locale che cerchiamo di tenere nascosta al resto del mondo.
Il prossimo nel menu è una delizia al cioccolato, fatta a mano a Gent. La nostra guida ti racconterà la storia del cioccolato e ti offrirà una pralina a forma di agnello sacro di Jan van Eyck.
Successivamente nel menu ci sono i waffle, una delizia popolare fin dal medioevo. Vi racconteremo le origini del cibo e vi offriremo un assaggio.
Concludiamo il tour con un biglietto per un bicchiere gratuito della famosa birra locale Gruut, che puoi gustare subito dopo il tour quando la birreria apre nel pomeriggio.

Don’t miss this tour! Learned about Ghent and tasted some delicious treats! Our guide (Stasha?) was the BEST!
Really interesting and yummy tour! First time doing a tasting tour and really enjoyed it! Sophia did a very good job of leading the tour and explaining about everything we tried!
Yes we did get to taste local foods but I didn’t feel it was organized very well. It was just okay not what I had hoped it would be.
The tour itself was great, Sophia was a wonderful guide. It doesn't seem like booking through the legends website actually registers you for the tour. The last couple we've been on we weren't on the list of people who registered even though we received confirmation emails.
Very interesting tour with possibility to test some Belgian food and sweets while walking around Gent's historical centre. Our guide Sophia told a lot of stories behind of each of it. At the end of tour you will get recommended places to eat or drink a really good Belgian beer.
This tour was 100% worth it for the price! There were only four people on our tour, which might have been why but the portion of fries was so big we couldn’t finish it! Everything else was as expected, two pieces of chocolate, a candy, a quarter of a waffle, a little stew, a cube of meat with mustard, and a small glass of beer. For the price we paid this tour was definitely worth it! Our guide Hans was also very informative, he gave us a few quick points of history about the city as we walked, and also had a very long talk with my friend who was interested in the churches of the city. The tour definitely doesn’t have a history focus but you do get the sparknotes. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a small taste of Belgian cuisine!
Nice information about the origin of what you get to eat, drink and snack. Is something different than about buildings.
It was great a lovely way to try some of the key foodie items without having to commit to a full waffle and to get some history and background to go with the snacks. Really would recommend!
