Aiste brought us to places you would not get to visit if you book traditional tours. She took our photos at different spots that were super beautiful. Really left a lasting impression on us about the beauty of New Zealand. Aiste was the perfect guide who made the experience possible.
This review is long overdue, but I wanted to thank Aiste for a fabulous day of photography and sightseeing! Participating in a photo tour like this was a new experience for me, and I found it to be truly worthwhile – Aiste was incredibly helpful in pointing out a variety of animals, reflections, clouds and trees that became the subjects of memorable photographs throughout the day. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the area allowed me to capture such unique and beautiful shots. Beyond this, Aiste is a lovely person to spend the day with, and I highly recommend her tour as an engaging way to photograph Glenorchy, Skippers Canyon and Arrowtown.
If I could rate this tour it would be a 9!!! Aiste is a wonderful photographer and guide, she brought us to places we never imagined we could visit. We learned many points about photography from her and we learned to look at things that a photographer would do like lines, angles, dimensions etc. She also made sure she followed my pace since I have a hip condition, she was very considerate and kind. It was a wonderful tour, my children enjoyed it immensely and I would recommend her tour highly to friends and relatives, excellent job, Aiste ! 🥰 Take care always!
We had the best day with Aiste - she is such a friendly and informative guide which made our day truly memorable. She took us to the best sights (and she knows all the good photo stops!) and was able to adapt the day according to what we wanted (I.e where we wanted to spend more of our time). The scenery is indescribable in words and it genuinely looks like a Disney book come to life. Thank you for an incredible day Aiste - we couldn’t recommend this enough.
This was our best day trip while we were in Queenstown. We were a family of 3 Aiste is a lovely person & a great guide who showed us places we could not go to - Skippers Canyon being one of them, this place looks like out of space. Some pictures that Aiste took for us were outstanding. Aiste stopped at places we would not even consider & got great pictures too. The Arrowtown pictures she took of our daughter were truly incredible. This day trip is a must for small families & worth the cost.
From the start to end, our professional photographer / tour guide, Aiste, was perfection! From Queenstown, through Glenorchy, Wanaka, to Skippers - Aiste guided us to incredible views, amazing photo opportunities, and unbelievable photos. She provided fantastic photo insights for those of us using iPhone 15 / 16 and for our Canon Mark II shots, equally. Her knowledge of the area & equipment and professional photographer experience left us with the most breathtaking photos! Thank you so very much, Aiste!!!
Aista is a very good guide and photographer. We enjoyed our day with her since she’s very flexible, professional and friendly. She took us to see unusual places which is normally unlisted in the normal tour operators. Both places, Moke Lake and Skipper were amazing.
Just finished an absolutely captivating day with the wonderful Aiste. I was traveling with my elderly mother, who uses a walker, and Aiste could not have been more helpful or attentive to her. She led us from one extraordinarily beautiful scene to another -- places we could not have discovered on our own. Her eye for photography is incredible, and time and again she brought us to beautiful vistas. And her enthusiasm for the beauty of the area is genuine and truly infectious. She truly tailored the tour to our needs and desires. Book her -- you won't regret it!
We went to Glenorchy and Skippers in New Zealand on 6th Feb 2024. This we did from our hotel in Queenstown. It was around 7 hours of photography tour and we loved every bit of it. Skippers and Glenorchy are in opposite directions from Queenstown and the landscape in both these places is also different from one another. Skippers has rugged , canyon like landscape and Glenorchy is lakes, meadows, hills (typical of South island) . Road to Glenorchy has several super beautiful places where you will be compelled to take snaps. The scenery is so amazing that we can't believe we went to those places when we look at the photos today. We went halfway towards Paradise from Glenorchy and out there was a place where we found just us and sheep and beautiful landscape and fresh air. Our Tour Guide Aistl is very joyful, talkative, knowledgeable and helpful. She treated Me and My wife like old friends. We had one of the most enjoyable times with her on the 20 day New Zealand and Australia Trip. She called us a day in advance and confirmed the participation. Then she asked us where we wish to travel from Queenstown. She recommended Skippers for its different landscape. In Skippers she took us to those scenic hill tops and herself walked to a nearby hill top (actually top of a canyon) walking in her flip flops and took several wonderful photos using our camera. My wife wanted to drive the car in NZ (she has an INTL license) and Aistl gladly obliged. Aistl would not let a moment of boredom come with her interesting stories about life in NZ, her home country and our own culture. It was fun filled 7-8 hrs with her with several photographs. We would certainly recommend this tour for the guide and the different scenary
It was a pleasure to be able to meet Aiste and spend a full day taking pictures around Otago with her. I knew I would only have a limited amount of time in the area and she was flexible in working with me in setting a start time and figuring out where I wanted to go and my photo priorities. She was even willing to start super early in the morning to do astrophotography but I had already captured some Milky Way shots earlier in the trip. She picked me up from my hotel and we headed to Moke Lake before sunrise which had beautiful mist over the water and glassy reflections (see the attached picture which she took using my iPhone while I was messing with the ND filters on my camera). We then headed up to Glenorchy after breakfast, before ending the day in Skippers Canyon, where rental cars are banned given the steep dropoffs and narrow roadway (I am glad I wasn’t driving). It was well worth being with someone who really knew the area and timing of the best photos; often we were leaving places just as others were showing up. As a solo traveler interested in seeing as much as possible in a limited time frame it was well worth it. I was able to spend as much or as little time taking pictures as I wanted to without feeling like I was rushing anyone else, and she had good suggestions regarding composition and technical aspects of landscape photography. Aiste is very personable and we had plenty to talk about during the drives between photo opportunities (and she would stop if we saw anything interesting too).
