Si chiama 'Risky Market' perché c'è un binario ferroviario che corre direttamente attraverso il centro del mercato. Letteralmente in pochi secondi dal passaggio del treno attraverso il mercato i venditori devono tirare fuori le loro merci, e se stessi, dai piedi. I tempi e i movimenti precisi di tutti i soggetti coinvolti sono affascinanti da testimoniare. Il secondo mercato di questo itinerario è il mercato galleggiante di Damnoen Saduak. Sebbene sia autentico e ancora utilizzato dalla gente del posto, grazie alla sua popolarità, è diventato affollato di turisti. Il mercato ferroviario di Maeklong è un tradizionale mercato tailandese che vende verdure fresche, cibo e frutta. Ciò che rende speciale il mercato è che occupa parte di una linea ferroviaria. Alcune volte al giorno, c'è un treno che attraversa direttamente il mercato. Pochi minuti prima dell'arrivo del treno, i venditori abbassano gli ombrelli e spostano alcuni dei loro prodotti dai binari del treno. Alcuni sono lasciati a terra, con il treno che passa proprio sopra di loro. Sorprendentemente, nulla viene danneggiato o rotto e non appena il treno passa, i venditori spostano le merci sui binari e continuano normalmente (fino all'arrivo del treno successivo).
Famoso per i suoi mercati galleggianti adatti ai turisti, Damnoen Saduak è quello che troverai nella letteratura turistica sulla Thailandia. Porta con te la tua macchina fotografica per assistere al fiume pieno di barche di legno traboccanti di frutta e verdura, che vendono alle persone che stanno sulla terraferma. La scena è colorata e rumorosa; proprio come ti aspetteresti da un mercato thailandese. Si trova a soli 100 km da Bangkok.

Ignore the negative reviews. This tour was absolutely worth it and ended up being one of the best tours we’ve ever taken! The company was very clear about everything from the beginning. A lot of the complaints in the reviews seem to come from people who didn’t read the instructions or expectations carefully. We knew exactly what to expect, and everything was delivered as promised. Our tour guide, Hady, was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and truly cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. His energy, enthusiasm, and attention to the group made the tour even more enjoyable. The tour itself was incredible, well organized, fun, and memorable from start to finish. The only thing worth mentioning is that while the itinerary lists the end time as 2:00 PM, that’s when the activities end. You still need to account for the drive back, which brought us closer to 4:00 PM because of traffic. That said, the return trip was actually quicker than we expected and wasn’t an issue at all. Overall, this was an excellent experience and one I would absolutely do again. I would take this tour 10 more times and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Travel.to and from this location consumes.your whole day. Plus.the noise.and air pollution from long tail.biats is terrible. Find something else to do.

Nice overall, but the train ride is super boring. Maybe just go to the train market alone instead of this tour.

It was a good experience but it had become to touristy. Way too many people and a little hard to enjoy. But still had a good time with the experience. :-)

It was very touristic and the train ride was only interesting the last 5 minutes. A lot of souvenir vendors at the floating market. Don't forget to bargain.

Going on the boat rides for it was fun and would do it again. Very creative how there's shops on boats to.

Interesting day yesterday. This tour has a lot if driving. Our van was not the most comfortable (older van model). Most if us had stiff muscles by the end of the day. The boat ride was also shorter (about 10 minutes) than what we were told (20-25 minutes). It took about 3h30 to get back to our hotel.
