This was my kids favorite tour! Our driver, Carmine, picked us up promptly at the shop and drove us to Rome. We then met our guide for the day, who took us on all the back streets and to all the main sites, while sharing so much Roman history. He even showed us the best pizza and gelato! We got back to the shop with plenty of time to spare before embarking! We would absolutely recommend this excursion to anyone traveling to Rome on a cruise!

Our favorite excursion while traveling through Italy! The perfect way to see Rome in less than 4 hours and we still had time to relax on the boat later afternoon. Achilles was an amazing guide and made the trip very memorable.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our tour was. Our driver, Carlo, was on time and eager to make our day perfect. He completely customized our trip around our interests and must see areas, made reservations for an authentic and intimate lunch, and was extremely informative. We agreed it was the highlight of our trip! You won’t be disappointed.

Ivano was an entertaining and very knowledgeable guide. I’ve been to Italy three times and would not visit Rome without him. My friends and family loved him. Said it was the best ever tour.

Our guide/driver Claudio was outstanding. He grew up in the shadows of the Vatican and was such a wealth of knowledge. This is well worth the price and you will have a VIP experience!

What an amazing day!!! We were on a cruise and we only had a day in Rome. Nick picked us up right on the docks and took us straight to Rome. He took us to off beaten views, as well as, all the hot attractions. He knew all the back ways and got us to see more than we expected. He took us to an amazing place for lunch where they rolled out the red carpet. Nick was fun, knowledgeable and speaks English very well. This was very worth it!!! Thanks...

Our guide in Rome, Claudio, was absolutely fantastic! He captivated myself, my husband and 4 children (ages 4-11) with his knowledge and passion for Rome as he lead us to everything we wanted to see in Rome (and more) including a guided tour through the Vatican museums and Saint Peter’s Basilica. He taught us a lot and kept all of us engaged. We could not have asked for more! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! From the day I booked our tour, Roberta was quick to communicate and assist. Ivano is our favorite tour guide EVER!! He was prompt, waiting for us at our ship when we arrived. Very genuine, funny and knowledgeable! With him we were able to experience authentic Rome. We saw all the main attractions, but the hidden gems he brought us to were our favorite. We can’t wait to come back and have lunch with Allegra…but the restaurant Ivano brought us to was amazing! Food was the best and atmosphere was true Italian hospitality. You can NOT visit Rome without Ivano - he made our experience magical!!

My family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We were picked up at the Port in two very comfortable vans and transported to Rome to the luxury golf carts. Although we had a very limited time in Rome, 4 hrs, we sailed through the side streets in the golf carts and managed to see the main sights of Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and the Vatican. We had an incredible lunch at a restaurant recommended by Ivano. Ivano and his colleague were so knowledgeable and took great care of us. We loved our time with DGS and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a special shore excursion with a limited time.
