Simonsig Wine Estate a Stellenbosch, è una delle più antiche aziende vinicole del Sud Africa. È molto popolare per il Metodo Cap Classique. Gli spumanti sudafricani sono prodotti con il metodo tradizionale francese (metodo champenoise) e sono indicati come Methode Cap Classiques o MCC. Stellenbosch è una città universitaria nella provincia del Capo Occidentale in Sud Africa. È circondato dai vigneti di Cape Winelands e dalle riserve naturali montuose di Jonkershoek e Simonsberg. We really enjoyed this tour. The guide, Yaz, was knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. He chose an excellent variety of places to visit. The scenery and the wines were both unparalleled.

Had a brilliant time on the day tour to Stellenbosch, it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The four vineyards we visited were varied and all high quality. All the wine and food was very enjoyable. Our guide Alethea was great, very friendly but professional too, and shared lots of knowledge about wine, wine making and the history of South Africa. Alethea also has a great sense of humour and kept the group smiling and upbeat the entire time. Not that there was any reason not to smile – we were on a wine tour in sunny South Africa!

I did not enjoy the wine tour. It was too long with too many stops. One of the presenters was very unfriendly.
