Amer Fort (spesso anche scritto "Amber") è un forte situato ad Amer, nel Rajasthan, in India. Amer Fort, così com'è ora, fu costruito sui resti di questa precedente struttura durante il regno di Raja Man Singh, il re dell'Amber Kachwaha. La costruzione del forte fu iniziata nel 1592. La struttura fu completamente ampliata dal suo discendente, Jai Singh. Anche dopo, Amer Fort subì miglioramenti e aggiunte da parte dei sovrani successivi nei successivi 150 anni, fino a quando i Kachwahas spostarono la loro capitale a Jaipur durante il tempo di Sawai Jai Singh II, nel 1727 .Amer Fort è noto per i suoi elementi artistici in stile indù. Con i suoi grandi bastioni e le serie di porte e sentieri acciottolati, il forte si affaccia sul Lago Maota. Questo magnifico forte comprende un vasto complesso di palazzi, costruito in arenaria giallo pallido e rosa e marmo bianco.

Great experience. Damo drove us where we wanted and showed us the flower market. He added some explanation to the tour so that we learnt some things. He was also attentive to us during the heat pic.
