Itinerario
Dopo aver lasciato Queenstown, la nostra prima tappa iconica è Cromwell, "Fruit Bowl of the South", e le sue grandi sculture di frutta. Cromwell è il fulcro di Central Otago, la famosa regione vinicola del Pinot Noir.
Durante il viaggio verso Mount Cook, viaggeremo attraverso il drammatico Lindis Pass. Lasciati incantare dallo spettacolare paesaggio di alta campagna mentre attraversiamo da Central Otago al bacino del Mackenzie.
Facciamo una breve sosta nel pittoresco villaggio di Omarama dove hai l'opportunità di fare uno spuntino o cibo da asporto per pranzo a Mt Cook. Da qui attraverseremo i canali Twizel, dirigendoci verso le acque azzurre del lago Pukaki.
Prima di entrare nel villaggio di Mount Cook, faremo una sosta lungo le rive del lago Pukaki, il lago più grande della zona, che mostra con orgoglio la vetta più alta della Nuova Zelanda, Aoraki/ Mount Cook.
Benvenuti al villaggio di Mount Cook. Qui avrai del tempo libero per goderti questo luogo spettacolare. Scegli di fare una passeggiata al Lago Mueller per una vista ravvicinata dei ghiacciai del Monte Sefton, fai un'escursione lungo la Hooker Valley Track o cogli l'occasione per provare una delle incredibili attività che il Monte Cook ha da offrire.

- Il Monte Cook è un ambiente alpino ed è importante portare vestiti caldi, una giacca antipioggia e scarpe comode per camminare.
- L'Hooker Valley Trek è un sentiero escursionistico DOC (Dipartimento di Conservazione) e consigliamo solo a chi ha una forma fisica media di completare l'intero percorso (in base alle condizioni meteorologiche). Abbiamo un orario di partenza rigoroso dal villaggio di Mt Cook e tutti gli escursionisti devono rientrare entro quell'orario.

I joined this tour as a solo traveller hoping to enjoy the journey with some company, and it exceeded my expectations. A huge thank you to Sinchan, who was an amazing guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and I honestly wished I could have stayed there forever. Highly recommend this tour! And as a bonus... the guide is also very cute and definitely date material. 😉

The trip was amazing and contained a few highlights, including the hooker valley trek and a paid upgrade option to experience alpine snow landing. Everything was smoothly organised and run by the tour operators (altitude) and our guide for the day, Sinchan, was amazing, helpful and super knowledgeable.

Tour to Mount Cook was fantastic. Lovely sunny day meant beautiful views both along the way and at Mount Cook. Walked to Hooker Trail for more great views. James and Nicole were great- friendly and informative. Altitude tours ran everything well from great communication before tour, pickup on time and comfy van. Will tour with them again!!.

We absolutely loved our Mount Cook day trip with Stuart and Caleb! We got lucky with a beautifully clear day and our time at Mount Cook and the Hooker Valley Track walk and Alpine Center lunch was perfect. Our guides had entertaining and informational commentary and we enjoyed getting to chat with them and learning more about the area. We even had time for a few fun stops on the way and got to see more of the landscape. We would 100% book with Altitude again!

Our first tour going to Mt. Cook was full of knowledge, smiles and laughter even when we were still in the van. SinChan deserves a pay rise, promotion and an award. He is such a passionate tour guide. His vibe is just amazing. We had a number of tour guides before but this man is just outstanding in all aspects. Absolutely incredible day tour from Queenstown to Mount Cook National Park. Sinchan was our driver and tour guide and would absolutely recommend him. He was energetic, fun and very knowledgeable! The drive itself was beautiful as was Mount Cook National Park. As per Sinchan’s recommendation we did a 25 minute helicopter ride which was an experience I recommend for all! Landing ontop of a mountain and looking down at a glacier was incredible! Definitely the highlight of the trip

We had such an amazing time to Mt Cook yesterday. We made multiple stops along the way with the most stunning views. We were also lucky enough to do a 25minute helicopter ride which was such a bucket list moment. Did the tour to Mt Cook and option of 25 min yesterday 24 April. Tour guide Chelsea was very knowledgeable and ensured we all had a great time. Even stopped to get an awesome sunset photo on the way back to Queenstown. Recommend the Heli ride ! Bonkaz!
